This is something my brother sent me. The guys who respond to things like this might find it intersting. Read the text before lookng at the pics.

"If everything seems under control... You're just not going fast enough"

> Take a few minutes, look at these pictures individually, slowly and

> imagine how this took place. THEN take a look atthe whole thing. Read

> the notes below FIRST !

>

> This takes some time to study, to realize what it is you are

> actually looking at. The telephone pole helps as a reference point...

Sometimes what you see as you first arrive on the scene may not be

> exactly what you have after further investigation. Although these pictures are

> of a vehicle accident they exemplify how things in other situations

> can be deceiving. If you approached this scene from the driver's side,

> the damage doesn't looks so devastating. However, if you approached

> from the front or the passenger side your would have a totally

> different impression of the scene. Fortunately there was no passenger

> in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

This same scenario can and does exist when approaching any emergency

> scene or fireground. Do not necessarily take the word of others or even

> necessarily rely on your first Impressions. Sometimes additional

> investigation can lead to an entirely different conclusion

While covering for a few hours on E24, we responded on this wreck.

The driver swerved to avoid a car turning left and spun out on an icy

> intersection. I ordered the crew to stretch a line and was literally

> transmitting a request for the Entrapment Compliment when the police

> Sergeant on the scene pointed at a guy standing on the sidewalk

> saying, "Here's the driver!"

Except for a scratch on his hand he was totally unharmed.

But seriously...HOLY FUKN SH!T  The driver is one lucky dude IMO. But he had to be haulin ass to split the car like that.

:withstupid: if hes gonna drive like that on icy roads, he doesnt deserve a newer camaro...he needs a civic..lets start getting those things off the road...lol :seeya::jester:

"Swerved" to miss a car turning in front of him my ass, that is more like "catapoulted into a pole". That SOB was flying to do damage like that, good thing there wasn't a passenger or there would definitely have been a fatality. He was probably bearing down on the other motorist like a bat out of hell, and when the other motorist didn't see him and started to turn he had no choice, since he was going waaaaay too fast to stop short. :idiot: Speed + inclement weather = BOOM! :nonod:

I bet alcohol was involved. :wtf:
