diggler_d
talked to stop tech today and i must say i'm very disappointed . they have no steel brake lines for the silverado ss . they also said they don't have any plans for devolping them either. they also said that if they have more intrest in them they will start looking into research and development !!!!!! so of we want to see them please call them and tell them we want them. 1-310-325-4799 i sure hope they make them to get some pedal feel and shorter stopping distance i don't think they know what this truck can do. evandostert
Get the Earls lines. Nice quality and the only dot legal brake line.
TBSS
Get the Earls lines. Nice quality and the only dot legal brake line. I wonder if they're 'legal' if your vehicle isn't listed on the box. I may still install the lines. Mine would be the Suburban part...
yorgog
do you know their number at earls or the part number to use for our truck
BenKey
I ordered the Earl's Hyperfirm 5-line brake line kit. The part number is 28A640. Earl's will not list your vehicle unless they have actually had that vehicle in to see the fit. Their list has nothing to do with being DOT certified. yorgog
What do you recomend for brake fluid and what did you use to bleed the lines ben.
BenKey
What do you recomend for brake fluid and what did you use to bleed the lines ben. I used ATE Super Blue Racing brake fluid. You can find on the internet pretty easy for about $11 a pint. What's good about it is it really is blue, so easy to see when the old is out and the new is in. I used the old way of bleeding with the assistance of my wife pumping the pedal for me.
yorgog
About how much brake fluid did you need. I want to have everything ordered so I dont have to keep running out to get stuff if you know what I mean.
BenKey
I ordered two cans. I think it actually came in qt size. I had about a half can left over when all was said and done.
SuperSport
I was planning on stopping by stoptech, becuase they are only about 5 miles away from me and i am going to try to get them to sponser my truck. One of my friends has known the owner for 20 years. I will see if he can do some convincing.

I am like you I need to go fast and then I need to stop. The Hawk part numbers I got were: HB323F.724 front HB385F.640 rear I don't think Earl's would sell the lines if they negatively affected the ABS system. If they did, I don't think they would be DOT approved.
evandostert
The brake lines do not affect your abs in any way. I used the same kit as Ben.
