Thanks a ton, that sounds like a decent option for me. Can you PM me an address? I will get all the security set up so that once I do get a gate I can apply all this right after.
Does anyone know of a good quality lock? I found these 3..

Id like it to look oem, or close.
I will likely be doing this in combo with a tailgate locking handle. Thanks!
make sure the handle you get for exterior is Smooth, not textured like in the first pic

If you get a locking handle, send it to me, i will paint it for you no charge. Hate thieves

Ok ya that's him lol, from what my buddies say he's a cool guy and just loves to race. He was suppose to be doing a posi rear end and wanted to up the boost. I don't really care for racing for money, I just love doing it period but $ always makes it more exciting.
Ya let me know how it goes, best I've seen it do is 12.9 and consistently in the low 13's out here at famoso raceway. I'll try and see if I can catch a race next time with him, I'd prefer to have a cam and tune at the very least the next time he's out here but I'll do it either way.
We should start a "I raced the TRD Tundra" thread LOL
-
I'm from Cali but in the southern area of cen cal. That TRD is from Sacramento, but comes out this way every now and then. I've seen it run a best of 12.9 in the 1/4.
If it's the same one I'm thinking it's a black single cab supercharged TRD, 20" oem wheels.
The day I was going to race it I had worked a night shift and was suppose to be an early morning race but they never came through. I was trying to get 3 money runs done at the same time. Didn't happen, but a couple of the trucks I've ran before on the street for $ beat that TRD later that day.
I think he's suppose to get more mods done from what the guys were telling me.

Is it the same one?
If it is the same truck, with your mods you should have no problem, I barely have a few mods done but it runs well for what it is.
Same truck. Looks like the guy too. thin hispanic guy with kind of long curly and shiney hair. Nice guy and he LOVES his truck, a lot. I will let you know how i do against him. He is known for wanting to race for $$$$

Sacramento Raceway hosting Truck only drag racing Sept. 28. Anyone interested?
I own a body shop close by so anyone traveling or just need a place to detail out your truck etc is more then welcome to come by and do it here. I will BBQ also if enough show up
-
Is this tundra from Sacramento by chance?
Yes he is, Do you know him?
Also, just noticed you are from California. Are you local to Sac? I'm in Rocklin

My duty cycle for the deka 60's are at 55-65% My fuel pressure at idle and cruising is about 52-55ish which is about right for stock fuel pumps... Under WOT it climbs up to around 65lbs... Keep in mind that with the deka's you will need fuel rail spacers about 1/2" as the siemen dekas are taller than stock
Thanks, Im hoping what I have is going to keep me happy........for a while. Think I will swap out the injectors when i do the heads and header replacement. All good info and very appreciated. Hearing through the grapevine that some guy with a pacecar Tundra wanting to race me already. Geeze. I was told his best run was 12.4 so crossing my fingers LOL.
-
nice launch! 2003_SuperSport. My fuel pump puts out 344 LPH and consistant 62 lbs of pressure. Was thinking the fuel injectors should be a bit bigger. Your sig says yours are 60's. What kind of pressure are you maintaining? That cam you have is just a TAD smaller then the Comp cam i was considering. Comp part #544-444-11 224/230- 581/592 114LSA
Can't wait to get it all together, will probably upgrade headers and heads after all done with this. I think im going to see how it performs first. Thanks for the well thought out info everyone.
-
Thanks BlownSS/T. All input is greatly appreciated. I will measure the headers to make sure of the size. My tuner is the one that recomended the GT-9 for the exhaust duration because of the supercharger forcing air/fuel in, needs to also be let out. He works for GM and flies all over the country tuning LSx motors and mentioned he had the best luck with the GT-9 producing the best overall outcome for my type of situation. He first does a dyno tune, then we drive around a bit and he tweeks it for driving conditions. I will post some Dyno sheets when all is said and done.
-
Thanks for the link! I have T.O.G. headers on it already. They, I guess, are considered "mid length" because they are longer then "shorties" and shorter then "long tubes" and i think the diameter is 1 5/8 inch. I called Lingenfelter directly and spoke with their tech and told him all the mods I currently have and he recomended the GT-9 cam, dual spring kit with titanium keepers and a billit timing chain set, which i also purchased.
-
Lookin good, I wanted to get my wife a TBSS but she likes her Tahoe too much, room for travel etc. Thats why i opted to swap the front end on the Tahoe to SS
-
Got me a Lingenfelter GT-9 Cam and dual valve spring kit, a RPM Stage 6 Transmission and a Billit TCS 3000 stall converter. All going in this coming weekend. Anyone have any input on the cam? I have a Radix Magnacharger and putting 2.8 pully on at the same time.
-
Call the dealer, give him your VIN number, (usually the last 8 will work) and you might be surprised how inexpensive it is.
-
Sweeet Ride. Let me know if you need those cab corners and rockers painted. Really like the way the seats are done too.

Gratz Sam

-
grats, Nice find
-
Clamping the front end eh? How do you do it with torsion bars up front?
Torsion bar "keys" drop it 2 inch's
-
Mine is Supercharged, just ordered a Stage VI Transmission from RPM and the guy who does my dyno says get a 3000.
-
Looks great! send me that grill and a paint code unless you prefer the chrome. Also, if u decide to do the cladding i can make the cab corners.
-
Tahoe looks sick man, glad you could turn a bad situation into a good thing.
Thanks, Best part is insurance company gave me $9700 to do it!
woww man!!! well done that truck came out gorgeous. its always nice to see someone do a clean conversion
Thanks, and ya, i hate slapped together wanna be's too. Do it right or don't do it

Product Details
Use an inferior-quality lowering kit and you could turn your best ride
into your worst nightmare. Driveline alignment, tracking, handling and
ride quality could be severely compromised. Small bumps could send shock
waves up your spine. And chasis vibration could become the new
soundtrack to your life. But do it right, and the results will astound
you.
Authentic Ground Force Lowering Suspension Systems are engineered to
enhance ride quality while radically improving handling and performance.
The entire system is precision tuned and load tested to eliminate
vibration and harshness, and optimize sporting characteristics. And to
keep it simple, our single-part-number box contains everything needed to
complete your drop, without cutting or welding.
Any lowering kit, can make your truck look good. But after the pictures,
you have to live with the choice you make. Its your ride. Lower it
right -
Id like to drop the SS, to a nice ride height, but not to compromise the ride quality. Any suggestions on how much to drop and where to score the kit???
http://www.supertruckusa.com/products/76105_310.htm Here's a link to what I have, I think it was 2 inch drop all the way around. Trim the snubblers down and it rides great. You need to borrow / rent a Torsion bar key tool to do it and the rear drop shackles are kind of a pain other then that, pretty simple.

Wanna come do my burban for me? That looks awesome good job!
Would love to do it if you could ship to me. Actually they Burban would be easier to make Cladding for. WAY easier.
Thanks for the props guys.
What rims do you have on the sss, Where did you get the 06 front end?
The rims are American Racing 24's. To my knowledge they only made 5 of them. The first 4 one was damaged in shipping and it took 6 months for them to retool and make me another. They may have them again now cuz that was 7 years ago. The front clip i got from a SSS member, name is Sam, 1BAD2K Its a HD front clip with SS front bumper etc.
