    i never used the bracket, i was not comfy with drilling a million holes into the bottom of my cab. I found it to hold up really well with the right amount of 3M double sided tape, factory push pins and a good lock washer. Never felt flimsy, and lined up great! Here are a couple old pics of my truck.

    I don't think the programming in the bcm is necessary. I think a window switch from a truck with power folding mirrors can be plugged in and run these.

     

    I'm with when I added my power folding mirrors it was before I got my ss interior so they wouldn't fold... But once I got my interior and plugged in the ss door panels everything worked the power folding mirrors and heated seats...
