  1. I heard the new 07 body style trucks have to be hard wired for the brake controller and its not a plug in like the 06-older models. Unless you have a classic, which the plug pops into place down by the e-brake in the control box on the firewall. Your owners manual will tell you exactly what you need to do.

the 07 style sucks you have to wire it all you self and in the book it dose not tell you a bout a hidden power wire under the hood so we toasted one of our controlers doing this and with the others it was a simple plug under the dash. it takes about 5 hours to do if you know what you are doing and then we tow a 69 camaro and while doing this the brakes locked up at about 50 mph and ruined our brand new tires.

  2. Not ALL "Vortec Maxx" trucks have the 6.0L PERFORMANCE PACKAGE. The sure fire way to know if it is fast is the 20" wheels. If it has 20" wheels then I'm pretty sure it is 6.0L powered, that is unless the owner added the 20's after the point of sell..... wink.gif

Nope thats wrong i have a 2007 with 17s and it has the 6.0 and it hauls a$$ you can get the 20 inch wheels on a 4.3 from the factory if you want

  3. What kind of Gas millage do you guys get in the Vortec Max i am thinking of getting a 2007 new body one becaus they got one in arizona for us but not quite sure on the gas millage yet because i have a 2006 5.3 and i get around 18 avg and if i could get that i would be on that truck in a second

  4. No I ran a 15.4 stock at home at sea level. I'm really curious to see what the diference is between here at altitude and back home with my mods. Everytime I drive home I notice a big performance dif. I couldnt even break the tires loose here at first, but at home they seem to come loose pretty easy with a little encouragement. Aside from that I think the car club at my school uses bandi mainly.

I have a 69 camaro and it will run a 14.16 on a bad day with a 383 stroker and at closer to sea level we ran a 12.23
