  1. I'm new to this site and these trucks. I just wanted to start a post that could keep all us 07 nbs guy's up to date on what is happening with the manufacturers of the superchargers. I'm chomping at the bit to get my hands on one, and i cannot be the only one. I've heard that Kenny Bell will not be making one but that is about all I know. Just hoping someone else has some better info!

  2. No I think that is the correct exhaust. I have the same truck you have except in the crew. My exhaust is the same diam. the only difference is that your tip should point straight back instead of out the side like the 5.3. The Denali has a larger exhaust( I think 3in) that also points straight back. I'm going to get headers and highflow cats then have the larger Denali back half put on my truck. As soon as I can find long tube headers for my truck, any help hear would be great. I'm trying to get the flow but keep the stock sound. Sleeper!!

  3. This is my first post on any type of message board, sorry in advance. Dad's dad was a Chevy dealer, so have had the bug since birth. Searched aimlessly for performance tips on google, got sick of stumbling over so many Tundra and F150 message boards bashing Chevy, needed a place to vent! Plus pick up a few tips so I can keep smokin' em here in Seattle!

Having the same problem cutting tires loose. Easy with a touch of rain, but no luck on dry pavement. Just moved from Illinois, so amidst trying to find a good dealer for warranty 'repair' (missing A/C compressor belt...forgot at factory), started talking with few techs.

Seems the 6.0 has a torque limiter in the ECM restricting fuel until 4sec throttle duration. This is, of course, on top of StabiliTrak, which is even worse. Already have a phonecall in to Superchip to see if the Flashpaq takes care of this, along with the pesky rev limiter. Will keep you posted if hear anything.

In the mean time, any advice on CAIs? The GM performace kit looks sweet, but it's twice the price of K&N, has a metal intake, and no advertised results...

On the the CAI I'm looking at a Outlaw Performance intake, still waiting for them to give me the correct part number for my truck...should cost about $300. I have the 20 inch rims and mine has been tuned and I cannot break them from a dead stop....unless I stomp the gas and then the break then release the break. Kind of a power break and kind of like the start of a drift.

  4. He said 50 more lbs. of torque, not 50 more hp.

Carolina Auto Masters of Durham NC did it and I'm sure Jeff would be happy to tell you about it. To be honest I was so excited to drive it I forgot to pick up my dyno sheet. He has been on the show "Pinks" and tunes many highly modified corvettes as well as other GM trucks and cars. I don't mind if you believe me or not, I was just on here to tell you guy's that the TM program when removed made a massive difference, like I said before 50LBS between 1500 and 4500. A guy walked in on my second dyno and asked if we had put a cam in. That was cool!

  5. But what do you think of the diablo pro, I have got the pro and it seems to be pritte good turned of TM system and whent 14.2 in the 1/4 mile but how do you think the o2 bypas is going to work with no cat's

My 07 GMC Sierra crew Vortec max just got tuned on a dyno and had the gov taken out and the TM program diabled and I got 50 more foot lbs through the lower rpm range and he also tightened up the shifts. It made a huge difference in how the truck drives. I also have the trailering package so I have the 4.10 gears. The 20 inch wheels and it won't burn out but If you disengage the traction control she cherps all over town. I'm looking for headers and a high flow cats, I'm ordering a cold air intake form outlaw power as soon as they tell me which one fits it.

  6. I saw a couple around town and they look real good to me.

I have had my 07 GMC vortec max for about 3 months now. I had it on a dyno and had the govenor taken out and the TQ limiting program modified as well. I got 50 more ftlbs from low rpms up to about 4.5 grand. I have 300 give or take at the rear wheels for both Hp and torque. I'm getting ready to put an outlaw cold air kit on and headers with highflow cats. I'm going to have a stock 07 denali catback exhaust put on her to get the larger dia. pipe with hopefully a more "stock" sound. Any advice would be a help....still waiting for a supercharger company to get off their ass and make one for ME.
