  1. no. the only Slayer we did was Seasons. fortunately, all I had to worry about was vocals.

    Ah, well that's still cool.

Does making techno/trance/hard house count. I have 4 different programs I use, Reason 3.0, Magix music maker11 deluxe, Sony XMC, and Ableton Live. Oh and i play the kazoo

I'd say so, music is music no matter what you're playing... except for the kazoo and triangle!

  2. ^ Awesome, Seasons in the Abyss is also one of my favorites, did you ever try covering Angel of Death or At Dawn They Sleep?

I could never pull off Angel of Death due to me not being able to synch the singing and playing, At Dawn They Sleep was fairly easy though.

On another note, I wish I could play the Saxophone!

  3. Guitar: 4 years

    Bass: 5 years

    Drums: 2 years

Vocals/Backing Vocals: 3 years on and off

I've been through six bands in that time, mainly as lead guitarist/backing vocalist. I did some guest bass work for a friends band, all of that actually got recorded, but he had some problems with some of my views on life/religion, and we just decided it'd be best not to speak to eachother. I never got around to seriously playing drums for anyone, I did some of the drumming on my current bands demo, due to the drummer being sick. I do also write all the music (Guitar, Bass, Drums etc.) for my band, and did so for two of the other bands I was in.

I never really cared to learn entire songs by other people/band's, although I did take the time to learn my favorite pieces/riffs/solos/ of a few songs. The only stuff I've transcribed is my own, and that was so the other band members could learn the song. The only lesson I ever took was to learn how to fine tune my instruments, learned everything else (techniques, terms etc.) I know now by playing by ear and trying.

Just for the hell of it, I perfected playing the intro and first few riffs to Slayer's "Raining Blood" behind my head! :jester:

  4. Ahahah, Memphis Audio subs FTL!

I've seen a lot of people get the two brands confused just because of the "MA".

Some dude almost suckered my cousin into buying some Memphis subs, he told him that the subs were really good and loud, and my cousin was actually all over them without doing any research first. Anyway, a few days later I checked them out, and told him about them, and he decided to stick with his Sony's.

  5. DAMN .. if Chevy made the Z06 look like that, I dont care how I would do it, I would find a way right now to buy one.... that is seriously bad ass.

I'm with you on that one, man!

But since it probably won't happen, you can always just buy yourself one of those. I think my brother said they cost about $20-$40,000. I don't know if that includes the price that you'd pay to get the C5 body.

I don't find the first video too flattering for the car, but the second video sure is.

THAT is a completely different league of "curb appeal" as far as I'm concerned compared to the new Corvette, just from a LOOKS only perspective.

Cool vid. Thanks for the link!

    No problem!

The GTM is definitely in a completely different league of curb appeal compared to the new Vette. I'm tellin' ya, man, if Chevy took that look for the Vette, I think their sales would skyrocket due to the amount of people who want an exotic looking car at a cheaper price.

Of course Chevy could always just keep the Vette they have now, and make this one into a completely different car...

  6. Would the FFR GTM suffice for that exotic look? I mean, granted, it isn't a Corvette anymore, but it was originally a C5 body. It'd be cool if Chevy took that look, or at least something similar to it for the Vette. People would get the exotic look that'll definitely turn heads, and they'd have the Corvette that they love.

Just in case you've never seen the FFR GTM, here's two vids with it. I definitely wouldn't mind having one.

  7. Sounds like pretty sweet weather Silv.

Heh, I didn't know what else to talk about, so I figured since the weather was nice, why not make a post about it?

@ Mung, I wish I had some killer ac in my room! It's actually hotter in my room than it is outside. :wtf: I need to put some insulation in the cieling.

  8. It's a nice 90 degree day WITH 120% HUMIDITY!! It SUCKS!!! :banghead: No really, I'm happy I was able to get out of bed all by myself, and proud just to have a job that I can to get ready and go to work there (& read the SS site threads). God Bless the USA!! :flag:

Be carefull "DZK", with weather like that around, I could just hear the police sirens in the back ground later this afternoon!!

 @ the first part of the post, sorry the weather sucks man!

I hope the police stay more in town today! I wouldn't mind ripping up the highways with my car for a little while! :driving:

hazy, hot, and humid here. i'm not complaining though, as long as its not raining or snowing i'm happy.

Man, we got hit with a whole bunch of rain too these past few weeks, it was terrible!
