  1. i have 2 flowmaster 1 chambers with 6in turndowns and a magnaaflow xpipe in excellent condition already set up for a ss... they are positioned perfectly and already welded up... this has an awesome throaty sound... only on my truck for a few months... got rid of the truck so no need for this anymore... $200 ... this is a steal.. email or call me Justin 916-412-7497.. i have pics so email me cuz they are to big to post apparently

  2. I just put the 22's on it.. A big thanks to (Justin) SACTOWNS FINEST SS. for the hook up. they look good bro. Ill post some pics tomorrow mine are to big..

looks good Justin :chevy: Glad you liked them they look great. thanks for the shout out. alot of people snoozed on a good deal. glad to help out a fellow ss man

  3. as much as it sucks you'll probably just have to pay the ticket because by the time you

would spend the money to switch it out to get out of the ticket you will end up spending more than the ticket cost. just wondering but why are you rolling around in 2nd gear with headers and no cats if you seen the cops from 200yds away? why didnt you shift to drive knowing it is hella loud at that point  its a hell of lot louder than you think(a good loud of course) but you know they are always looking to hate on someone that has a nice looking and sounding ride :chevy:

  4. I have 4 22" black boss 313's with 285/45/22 nitto s420 tires with about 15,000 to 20,000 miles left. one rim has a 1" curb mark but other than that they are all good. The good thing is they have a polished lip and they can be resurfaced to look new for $75 a rim where i live. They have some water spots on the lip that need to be polished out. $800 plus shipping. This is a great deal i just need the money otherwise i would be keeping them. can email pics

  5. well im glad im not the only one in this boat..i just wish i had more time to sit down and focus on learning it..im veryyy curious about it.. but just cant seem to make the time.. and its kinda one of those this u really need to sit down for hours and work on for the sounds of it.. i dont need to be half way threw something and then get pulled away and forget were or what i was doin and mess somethin up..haha  holy shit.. 500 to 900 thats alot of bucks to learn out to tune.. i can get alot of go fast goodies for that kinda money..but then again i guess its pointless to add anything and u cant tune to use it...hell ive put alot of money in to the truck so far.. but dont know how to tune it right and its not any faster then before..dohh!..lol

ya but if you spend the money and get good at it then you can charge people money for tuning and make 10 fold your money back

  6. how difficult is it to use hp tunners? I have been thinking of buying it but have thoght it would be useless if I have no clue as to where to even begin to look at or play with. :chevy:

ya there is no way you would be able to do it if you dont know what your doing cause you could blow your ride up very easily. the guy that did it for me changed so many different things and the truck was really rich and detinating and we got everything adjusted perfectly. we road tuned it for about 2hrs to get it just right. i just got done smashing it around in the cold air tonite and it was the best money ive spent on the truck yet. its a night and day difference. i know everyone says that and i was leary but once i got it done everything you here about tuning your ride is true. i only have an aem cai and magnaflow x-pipe with 2 1 chamber flows dumped :chevy:

  7. I have a 6.0 vortec MAX in my 2005 gmc sierra reg cab. It has a K&N CAI and a dumped dual in/dual out flowmaster muffler. That's it! How much can I gain from a HP tuners tune? I know the guy real well and he does a good job. He's gonna be down around my neck of the woods in a few days and said he could do a street tune on it for $200-250. But I need to know what I could potentially gain so I can decide if it's worth it to me. Thanks!

i have just a c.a.i and a magnaflow x-pipe with 2 1 chamber flows turned down and i got my truck tuned with hp tuners today and its a HUGE difference. if the guy knows what he is doing it is well worth it and i payed more than that for it and i am definetely satisfied

  8. Just got my tune finished and everything is perfect..The truck runs 10 times better..Well worth the money and i got it tuned in 105 degree weather.. :chevy: It said it was sucking 150 degree plus air during tuning and the increase in power was still noticably greater..cant wait until i run it in 60 degree weather tonight.. Thanks for all the info on tuning your ride with only having exhaust and c.a.i

  9. Yup charging problem for sure. Either your alternator has crapped out on you OR you have a bad battery/ground connection somewhere. But as a wild-assed guess if the truck has never given you an issue before then it's probably the alternator.

    Mr. P.

ya i have never had an issue before and none of my electrical componets are functioning any dif than usual. i checked the battery connections and they are all good. i am supposed to get my truck tuned tomorrow can i still do this w a bad alternator as long as my battery is charge enough to run my truck. what is the stock alternator amp output?

  10. Got in my truck today after leaving the gym and my battery light popped on and the message center keeps flashing that my battery is not charging. i just put an optima in it about a month ago and she fired right up with no problem but basically is my alternator shot or could it be something else. please let me know and how much is a new alternator for our trucks. thanks

  11. You must mean an RST not an RSR, all they have is a 4.8 with an intake, full exhaust from the headers back, and a manual trans........you shouldn't have a problem running him. I would wait until you get your tune, then show him whose truck is faster. :chevy:

EDIT - be sure that RST isn't blown, I think they had an optional supercharger if I remember correctly.....

in your opinon how much do you think the tune will do or give you with only intake and exhaust...

  12. I went with black bear and I'm very satisfied with my tune, made my truck run really good. Got rid of all that TM and delay. Now my V-Max has a sick launch and it doesn't lose power after it shifts. I would say go with black bear and get ready for your truck to run how it is supposed to from the factory. I was also considering going with Wheatley, but I got a good deal with Black Bear. Is it true Wheatley charges for retunes?

do you know where blackbear is located at? thanks :D

  13. Hey guys, I am looking into some subs for the SS. Would it be possible to fit either 2 10" W7's or 2 10" W6's under the back seat facing forward without raising the rear seat? Thanks.

The old model W6's fit under the seat facing downward with no modification. the model thats probably 5yrs old now. you can probably find a good pair on ebay.

  14. ok well i started this with my friend at 10pm last night and finished at 5am. then i had to be to work at 8. not cool and im still up. gotta get the fresh news on the forum lol. everything went well. i thought the rear would be easy. it was harder than the front. the truck rides great up front. the rear is almost sitting on the rear bump stop that i already cut an inch off of. its almost frame to axle. anyone encounter this? what did you do to make it ride smoother? lift the rear a little? i dont want to c notch it. thanks rob

and yes thats def my friends leg in there lol

What kit did you use to get your truck to sit like that? do you have the part number for everything as well? thanks and your truck looks great
