  1. I'd like to keep it Mike, but our family has some medical expenses coming up next month and I'd rather sell it than go into debt. If you happen to know anyone locally that might be interested, send me a personal message. I've got it sitting on 17th street in I.F. but no serious bites yet. Thanks.

  2. I've decided to sell the SS after all. I'm the original owner. I posted it last year but I ended up not selling. Now there are just under 20,000 miles on it and it has always been garaged. It still has probably seen the rain about 3 times and never been in the snow. It has every available option except it has the manual dual zone climate control. The only mark on the truck is a 1" scratch just above the hitch on the back bumper that just needs some touch up, there is no ding. It has a PCMforless tune, Zippy shift kit, Outlaw CAI, Bedrug, and a shopman bowtie with red letters. Kelley Blue Book shows the private party value at $23,355. I'm asking 23,500 obo with the extras I've added. Shipment can be negotiated. I have a covered car hauler that it fits in nicely. If you would like more information or pictures, PM me.

This truck is immaculate. I've only driven it on sunny weekends. I intended to use it as my daily driver but I always drive my work truck. It is for sale locally in Southeast Idaho and anyone would be welcome to come see it in person. Thanks.

  3. It has just been announced there will be a 30th anniversary cruise retracing the route traveled by the Snowman and Bandit. We will meet in Dallas and end up in Atlanta for the YearOne experience that starts on May 18th and runs through the 20th. I'm also trying to arrange a tour to many of the actual movie shoot locations in and around Jonesboro, GA just south of Atlanta. YearOne has also just announced they are working with Burt Reynolds to build a new resto-mod series of the 1977 Bandit style Trans Am. It's also rumored they are trying to book him as a special guest at the YearOne experience. All Trans Am owners and Smokey and the Bandit fans are welcome. If anyone would like more info just PM me. Thanks.

  4. Accidents are tough. I've witnessed a few and it's an unforgettable experience of fear and a sick feeling right in your gut. My only suggestion to give you a little more confidence next time you come upon one is to take a good first aid CPR class and carry an adequate first aid kit in your car. I took one in college way back when from a great instructor. The final exam was pretty intense. It was complete with gushing blood, screaming victims, the whole nine yards. They used the drama students to be our victims. It'll give you the know how to deal with a lot of situations, at least until the authorities show up.

  5. I think I had the same problem you're referring to. I just called them a few months back and they sent me a whole new tube and couplers for each end in five days. The couplers have been redesigned from the original one I bought a year and a half ago. Haven't had a problem since. Their number is 1-888-342-4133. Let me know if you need any pics of the new stuff.

  6. This isn't a third brake light cover, but it could be wired to be a brake light.  I just have this plugged into the cigarette lighter and its about the same brightness as the tail lamps.

Here's the link... SS Vehicle Window Display

Sorry for the delay. They also do custom ones too with anything you want on them. I had one done for my Trans am that is also on the site now.

  7. The only wind noise I have on my '03 is the passenger rear window. I have found I can get it to stop if I just barely open the latch enough that it actually draws the window more tightly closed before the latch releases to open. BTW, I discovered this after I had it replaced once and still had a wind noise. I love my truck but seems like a pretty crappy design for a useless mechanism.

  8. No, I don't sell for this company. They are located in my hometown and have had some coverage on the local news lately. Their website is Hydrogen Innovations. I have talked to them on the phone and they seem to be very knowledgable. I'm really considering putting one of these on my SS. They said I'd see 15 to 20% increase in fuel economy and a modest increase in power. I just wanted to run it by everyone here to see if anyone has any experience with a system like this. Thanks.

  9. I've decided to sell the SS. I'm the original owner. There are just under 16,000 miles on it and it has always been garaged. It's probably seen the rain about 3 times and never been in the snow. Kelley Blue Book shows the private party value at $25,655. I'm asking 25,500 with the extras I've added. If you would like more information or pictures, PM me. It is for sale locally in Southeast Idaho and anyone would be welcome to come see it in person. Thanks.
