When you gonna post pics of the nitrous?
-
That sucks..Im on trans #11 and rear end #3 and motor #3..my truck hates me
-
-
hahaha good point there dirt-track-racer.
if he aint got the ball to put a baby cam in his camaro then he aint got the balls to drive his badass truck...HAHA jk chase
-
said it once and ill say it again thats a wicked bump stick
wish i had the balls to put one like that in my camaro.
Why not..you got the balls to have a faster truck than your camaro..
-
truck sounds real nice! now for some times =)
i dont know if ill ever take it back to the track or put nitrous back on it..imainly wanted to get it running again cause im tired of payin insurance and truck payments on it when its always broke down in my driveway..if found every weak link multiple times
-
sounds sick... you drove it yet??
yea ive drivin it alittle bit.. trans is shot and only have 1st and 2nd gear..havent drove it several months so i had to take a quick trip to end of 2nd gear and pretty much never quit spinnin..out of about 12 stops it only died 3 times..i really dont think it will take much once i start tuning it tomorrow..it does try to hang around 2k rpm still i get close to coming to a stop..its idling around 750 now and really needs to come up to about 825-875, going from park to drive and changing gears it doesnt even hesitate
-
sounds good where in OK are you at
thanks im from hennessey..20 miles south of enid

HOLLY FUKN SHIT BATMAN ! that is a lot of money for a cam swap/spring ! allyou remove is coil packs/valve cover for the springs. remove all the acessory (alt./bracket, ps, wp) radiator and timing cover. those are the main things to remove for the cam install
you dont even have to pull the acessories and bracket..if a guy is mechanically inclined he can do it himself in a day
-
you gotta lotta work ahead
-
ive delt with a several zex kits and they are junk..most the time they dont work..if you get much over 1000psi they dont work..the smart kits or whatever they are called where the fool your fpr will blow your motor up
-
smaller motors dont always equal better mileage..your truck is heavey..puttin a small motor is like putting a trailor on towin a small car..you will get worse mileage..to get mileage out of a small motor you need a small vehicle..
-
i dunno about you all, but i usually dont drive my truck without headlights with the hood open.... well, not on purpose at least
i dunno bout you all but i dont think im gonna be scared of the next truck i race with an aem, K&N, or whatever it is
-
on a full bolt yea i can see it make a difference but on a truck thats not a fully bolt i dont..got the results yetyeah maybe on a stock application it wouldnt matter much but since i have some bolt ons there were quite some differences between the CAI -
yes it will work. i currently have a ported fast 90 on top of my 4.8
shut up..your using the fast to make power hes wantin to put on an ls1 intake to TRY to make power..completeley different scenerios
-
very interested in the differences if any..only testing ive done is on a stock 2wd ss, had the tune done and pulled the stock air box lid off and made no difference in power or afr
-
ive been SD for over 2 years now, but i dont run open tb..prolly just the motor bleeding off compression through the intake
-
some people are willing to do all this for little gains. If you do anything do a ls6 intake swap with a good set of heads and cam other wise your waisting alot of money. get a 6.0 i got mine for 2200 bucks with 1500miles on it it swaps right over with little trouble. the difference is awesome. I warn you though its becomes an addiction. cause next i got the blower cam exhaust it never ends lol good luck here is a link you might want to check out http://www.ls1truck.com/forums/front-page-...ntake-swap.html
yes very addicting which equals to a lot of broken parts which equals more money....btw midnight..ever hit up 39th?
-
haha george you think that thing has enough power to need a scattershield??hahahato bad cant see the blue block. all that work and the block is hidden. ohwell... also not to many wires... nice clean apperance. might figure out where to mount the 2 step tomorrow and then hook up the meth kit. probably get truck up in air tomorrow and install clutch and scattersheild -
dont even waste your time with a ls1 intake, it will swap you will need ls1 injectors, ls1 fuel rails, ls1 style injector pigtails, fbody balancer, water pump, ps pump, alt and tensioner unless you get the speartech bracket, luckily i had a buddy that had a wrecked ws6 i got parts off of

Slacker hows it coming
-
also if you was to replace the lifters youd have to replace your head gaskets and head bolts, takes alot time to do for nothing when you dont need to
-
that cam is the first cam ive put in my truck..i just put 918 springs and comp 7.4 pushrods..you dont need the lifters or the gasket kit, ive always reused the stock gaskets because they are reusable style gasket..ive done prolly 15 cam swaps and never had any problems..if your going to get 1.8 rockers just get a bigger cam its really a waste of money..
