I'm with dcairns on this one. GM needs to allow volume control on that chime. I know the day after I disable it I'm going to end up locking myself out.

It's surprising since they have more than one volume setting they didn't add "Soft" or even "Off" for the chime. Either of those would be more useful - that loud setting is just insane !
