Same story. I received the letter last week, and after 119,000 mi, my speedo magically shows an increase of 39mph when stopped or driving. Called the dealership and they said it's about $500 to fix and two days in the shop since they have to ship the cluster off for repair/replacement. Anyone here know of a way to fix this ourselves? (without buying aftermarket)

yeah, we have a 111.5 on there now. (may be able to go 111) All pulleys seem fine without the belt on.

Well, we raised the idle to about 900 which seemed to help alot with the bouncing idle. (yes, one heck of a thumping idle at 600) I havnt driven it to see if this is too high for everyday driving. Chuck at HPE here in Houston is the mastermind behind this combination, so hopefully his power plan succeeds. (along with a new 3200 stall, my initial test drive was impressive) Solid tensioner? Not springloaded? any idea on a place to buy and part number? Thanks for the help!

Help!! I had this cam installed and now we have a jump when at idle (tensioner bouncing pretty rough) which throws a knock sensor code thereby preventing the final tune. The truck has a Radix with 2.8" pulley, dynatech LT headers, outlaw CAI, 3.5" catback with magnaflow muff. I've had the Radix rebuilt by Magna, and replaced the tensioner with no change. If we bypass the supercharger using a shorter belt, idle is perfect. Does anyone have any experience with this size cam/blower?

Watch out! After a few days of this, she'll be contacting you (probably on her knees) as a vulnerable, empty soul looking for any holes in your armor. Remain focused on what you want in a woman (fidelity) and she wont have much to argue since she no longer fits that profile. Most important, 3 mins of sex will not resolve the issues you face. Dang.. I really wanted to do this, and it looks good... but.. It kinda changes the look from signature brake ducts to aux light holders. (hmm... how about auto retractable lights that come down when activated at night.....)

Yes. ABS came on twice before the swap. (eventually cleared itself each time) Since the wheel hub also contains the ABS sensor, it made sense. I also heard random metal to metal sounds even when going 1-2mph. Since I needed the truck the next day, I just had the dealership complete the work. ($321 for part# 15233113) +$170 labor. Dealership said the hub was TOAST!!

Does anyone here have ghost flames on their SS? I never realized how many variations there are out there, and now that I'm ready, I need pics to view what kind of flames. I'm thinking purple ghost flames over my black. (by a place called Chaotic Customs here in Tomball) Any suggestions or reference links to see any visuals would help! thanks

I had the exact same sounds last week. Replaced the wheel bearing hub for the driver side and the problem was resolved!! ($480 later by the dealership) Good luck. (dont get stuck by waiting for it to blow)

Does anyone have the correct part number for the wheel bearing front hubs?? (2003 SS AWD) I have GM#15233111 and the dealer wants $1100 to do the fronts. Thanks!

I'm at 102K mi and it sounds like a driver side bearing is about to blow.(screeching, ABS light, high sound of gringing metal) I've replaced the stock rotors and calipers with Alumasports, but dont recall if the hub is easily accessible. Is there a special tool of any kind needed to replace the wheel bearing hub on a 2003 SS AWD front? I found a site with the hubs for $120 so if I can do them myself, I will.. Thanks for any help. (how about a misterp How To??<g>)

Welcome fellow Texan!! After you hit the "how to" sections (mostly by Mr. P) hit the bolt ons section.. Usually the best, cheapest and fastet way to mod your truck!!

ABS light came on earlier today and has been on consistently since. (came on during light driving and I wasnt even braking at the time) Checked brake fluid, verified 60A fuse ok, and brakes seem to work fine with no fading. Anyone have any ideas before I take her into the dealership?(several restarts and test brakings made no difference)

Dang!! I remember when mine looked that new.. (daughter is now 13 and supercharger now has 75K miles on her) You'll love the results of the supercharger!! (FYI, I threw a few gates belts before changing to Gatorback belts)
