  1. My truck already had the Volant cold air kit when I bought it. I dont know if needs to be recharged or if its the oilless filter (I hope). I couldn't really find it online and figured someone had the same filter. Its the gray cone filter.

    Thanks for the help.

  2. 2001 Dodge Dakota 4x4 crew cab, 4.7L v8, 95k miles, auto, pw,pl, cd, ac, 8000lb winch. Found front and rear door on driver side at local salvage for $700.

I'ml ooking for something to take to the river and pull a 19ft ski boat on the weekends. What do you think?

  3. I offered him $3,500 but he said he wouldn’t take less then $4,500. Its about an hour and a half drive for me to go see it so I told him I would pass. If he would have told me he would take 4,000 I would have went and probably bought it if nothing was wrong with it.

  4. I have not gone to look at it but he says all the buttons and knobs are there and work. He says the 4x4 works he only used it last winter when it snowed. The only thing is the windshield wipers only work on high. Its the SLT package meaning its the loaded out option for that year. He started out at 6K and I have him at 4,500. He says that's what he owes on it???

  5. What would you

    give for it?3n53o03pbZZZZZZZZZ9690349f3ef6e40149d.jpg3ne3k23m6ZZZZZZZZZ9698a26d8d57e2e1498.jpg3m63pf3l3ZZZZZZZZZ969bef71c9053731dae.jpg3k53p83l6ZZZZZZZZZ969fd15fb240f801a15.jpg

  6. Is the wheel bolt pattern on the Silverado 1500 NBS the 6x5.5 or 6x139.7? I have seen both on web sites and I dont know if there is a diffrence? Is one standard and the other converted to metric?

    Thanks for the help

  7. I'm about to buy some 20x10 wheels for my Vortec Max 4x4. I have got front spacers for the front that suppost to clear 32in tires. I want the big Tire look but don't want to compleatly kill preformance and MPG. I'm not going to be doing any offroading in my truck, (its still new to me) so I'm thing a nice set of H/T's. What tire size are you guys running and do you have any pictures?

    Thanks

    Keith

  8. You guys with the Corsa Sport single exaust with Long Tube headers. I've always been a true dual exaust guy, but my truck already had the Corsa sport on it. My question is what do you guys with this set up think about the preformance? Does the truck get the full potential out of the long tubes with single exaust? Yes I understand its better then factory single but it still seams kind of restrictive to me? What do you guys think of the Dynatech LT's? Thats all I have been able to find for the NBS? My biggest concern is preformance so if there is something better let me know.

    Thanks for the replies.

  9. If I would have had this information before I got the superchip I'm sure I would have went with the custom tune. But from what I have seen I have a couple of questions. If the superchip says not to use preformance mode for towing, (I use my truck as a truck and do tow with it) and a custom tune is changing the same computer files just more extreme, that sounds to me like I defiantly should't use a custom tune for towing. I'm sure you can get a tune for towing but I dont want to be restricted on preformance either. I guess I want the best of both worlds. Why cant a custom tuners put their tune on a hand held or sell you the files to upload into your truck with your laptop? If I could easily change a custom tune from preformance to tow there would be no question about it.

Still dont have an anwser on this, is it possible?

  10. It's all in the tuning/gears I believe.....you are running a 4.10 which will definitely get you out of the hole better but will kill your top end........your buddy on the other hand running a 3.73 will be weaker out of the hole but have a much stronger top end than you. Like mentioned before a custom tune will help your truck out tremendously, that 5.3 won't be a problem anymore with one. :chevy:

Agree on the gearing, and you have 52 more hp then him but the 5.3 has a shorter stroke, which rapsout faster, and you have to consider you were alredy moving and not lined up strait, your reactions were off, and then you have to consider other factors like do you both buy the same octain, same air filter/intake?

  11. In 2000 I turned 16, and a couple weeks before my birthday I bought my first truck with what I saved for by stocking groceries for 3 summers in my parents store.

If was a 1990 black 454ss. 400 turbo 3 speed with 3:73 gears. Added to it little by little started with duals and headers and got the need for speed by street racing at stop lights. My senior year in HS had it bored to 502,heads from a 69 454 polished, cam, and a 750 4 barrel Demon carb. 31 16.50 Mickys out back. Went to college-truck got parked to save gas. Got a job, married, mortgage, and baby. Truck is still parked in dads barn. I'll get it back out someday.
