  1. Actually they are not indivedually amplified, there is one central amplifier located in the center console (however each speaker does have there own channel). You are correct he is sending amplified signal to his bose amplifier causing it to be stupid loud at low volume. But canging the headunit on a bose system will not make the system sound worse unless he goes with a unit that is complete trash. I have installed many D3's on stock bose systems and they sound fairly good a little better then factory, but I would not change out any other componet with out changing out the entire system. As for the bose speakers I wouldent say they "SUCK" I would say they are OKAY.

they systems I have changed out have been on older Bose setups . . . they may have improved in that case. I must have gotten confused about the aplification method. . .its been a while :D

  2. Bose speakers are individually amped and are ment to work with the stock bose Headunit. your D3 is sending amplified powsignals er to the speakers where they are then being amplified again. Bose speakers SUCK unless they are used in the stock configuration. IMO your best bet is to replace the bose speakers and if you can amp all the speakers with a dedicated amp w/dedicated wires run to the speakers (optional obv but I think it made a huge difference in other installs)

  3. Really? You've never heard of March? Their serpentine accessory drive kits get tons of air time on the Spike Power Block, and are in mags all of the time. Super popular with hot rod guys and show vehicles because they're very good looking kits. http://www.marchperf.com/

So you're pro-March then? . . . I do like the styling . . . and the fact there are two diff types for the diff alts lends me to believe more research was put into it. . . I assume I have a fan'less alt. . . Oh and they're cheaper :D

  4. I have found several links for pulleys and will probably be getting them from either March Performance or Jet . . as these are the only two companies I know that carry them for my 'lil 4.3 and I can get both at cost (or near cost). Does anyone have any experiance and/or preference on either of these brands? . . . also the March one depends on whether I have an external alt fan or not. . . how do I tell? . . I have a reg. clutch fan but will be upgrading to e-fans shortly. Thanks for the input

  5. Awesome . .that was quick. . . I will get gator-backs if I get the pulleys so I'd rather a beltless setup too . . Thanks

Damn . . they dont seem to have any for my baby 4.3L . . . does anyone know of any pulleys for this engine? I think JET does but I like variety.

  6. Im looking to find TBryne and more information on his pulleys. I found http://www.tbyrne.com/ and www. tbyrnemotorsports.com but neither are there anymore. I also did a couple quick searches and nothing turned up.

Also for some reason my "members" tab doesnt work . . says im not logged in. I figured its because I just joined but I could be wrong.

    Thanks in advance.
