  1. the only real way to tell, is if you had a dyno before and after. another thing i feel that may be playing a role is the noise. when you are under less throttle but the noise level is higher, you feel like you should be moving faster than you really are. this is all speculation of course, but i call it the "noise to speed" affect. when i have my truck un-capped, i feel like my acceleration is slower than it would be if it were capped. again, the only way to be certain is dyno results. it would be interesting to see a capped dyno vs an un-capped dyno.

Hi man disagree with you man because i not need a dyno for a simple thing like this one.I had my truck from the last 3 years i both it new and i know it feels like. I notice that the power band was moved up.From my first car in 1989 and iroc z until today i modded all my cars to a point that the slows one ran 12s and the faster that i have ran in the 9s.So I'm very familiar with noise and spped. The thing is that probably the cam GM put on those trucks need some back pressure to move from the stop line a vehicle that heavy like my truck. But im so surprice with source a diference at low speed. The thing that it was only the muffler what if i change all the exhaust sistem!!!!!

  2. loose that torque in the low end but i but is for sure that it run better at top end it pull stonger above 2500rpm.The thing is my truck is my daily driver and i want to have the best MPG out of it but i really feel it weak in the first 2000rpm when i drive it.

With the mailorder tune you the truck going to eat a lot more gas?

  3. My SSS has only the volant CAI and today i installed a magnaflow muffler. It has 75k miles and i want to replace the spark plugs to have my motor in optimum conditions. Other than the factory Ac delco what you use for stock truck? and what rsults you had. Thanks guys.

  4. This is my daily driver so i not want to mess with many mods with my truck just a few mods to make it more fun. In Puerto Rico, are many Harley Davidson and lightnings moded running well so i'm not want to be there toy.My plan is use a set of JBA hedders with1 5/8 primary tubes but honestly i'm looking for a set of 1 3/4 shot hedders for not to change the factory configuration on the exahust. But i don't of somebody who makes them has a bolt on mod.Them delete the cats with the factory pipes into a ypipe (2.5 to 4") them into a 4" magnaflow with a 4" tailpipe to the factory location . After that a good program to squeeze the most out of the mods.

  5. I have no experience making fast a truck but i sold my 98 ss Camaro and i had a 4" mufflex exhaust in the car with factory motor with every single bolt on in it.And i loved how 4" worked with the 5.7liter. I ran 12.4s @ 115 miles in 1/4mi.

I just thogth that probably the 6.0l motor use even better the 4",my only consern is lost of low end torque and the weigth of the truck to launch it!

So you thinhk 3" is the way to go.I not plan to make many mods. Just have fun the street!
