  1. So I have a 2wd 2006 GMC Sierra vortec max with BV4 package and I lost driver hub today. It has factory 20s. I was hoping to get Timken Ones for it but I can't seem to find them. I'm not 100 percent sure on which ACDelco ones are correct ether. I believe it to be the fw313 instead of the fw310 but tbh idk what the differences in the two are. I can find the Timken replacement for the fw310 but since im not sure on which is the correct oem part number I'm seeing if anyone can help me out. Thanks in advance.

  2. I need help from another fellow VHO/Vortec Max owner. My father needs the Bilstein PN's for his 2004 GMC VHO for front & rear shocks. His truck is all stock, no drop or raise, all factory suspension.

    Thanks in advance guys...

These are the ones I used on mine, and mine is stock height.

    BE5C891HO frt.

    BE5C892HO rear

  3. I personally use M1 5w-30 synthetic, I believe M1 and amsoil are the best out there also. Amsoil is hard for me to find like said, so I choose M1.

I just order mine from Aimsoil online. It is decent priced if you opt to be a prefered customer and order a few gallons like I did.

  4. I have a 2wd 2006 gmc vortec max. It currently has 75,000 miles on it and has typical bolt on mods; CAI, GMPP cat back, plugs and wires, coolant bypass, Wheatley Tune and soon to be lt headers. It is my daily driver and I pull a boat during the summer that weighs 5,000 lbs with trailer. I love the horsepower, but want to keep it functional for what I need it for. Right now I have no plans of FI. I would like some suggestions on a good cam with a smooth idle to get me some extra ponies without losing any dependability. I should tell you I live in BFE and 91 octane is the highest octane we get out here. Also, what TC would you recommend to go along with it for a good match. Thanks in advance.

  5. I use the aimsoil 25,000 mile 5w30 and their Ea filters. I change between 5,000 and 7,500 miles. On another note, my wife had a 1999 Cougar before we were married and she ran conventional 5w30 Quaker State oil in it and would go 10,000 to 15,000 miles between changes on a regular basis (would not listen to me). The car was still running strong and getting 30+ mpg when the transmission went out at 210,000 miles.

  6. Make sure the shocks are the right part number too. I have them listed in "My Garage". Link is in my sig. Hope it works out OK.

Yeah, they are the correct shocks. I checked that as soon as they came in. They were in the original boxes and appear brand new, just missing/wrong installation kits. I put the rear ones on this morning, they are a firmer ride than factory. Thanks for your help.

  7. Yes they are stud mount, I figured it may be cheaper to just buy a pair of better bushings then contacting bilstein for a set of their oem. JimM I would appreciate if you would let me know what comes with them, this seller on ebay had a variety of bisteins for sell and would not suprise me if the one installation kit I had was incorrect. It has a number on the bag of B4-KT1-Z008A00. Thanks for all of your help.

  8. I bought a full set of Bilsteins off of ebay for 200 bucks, said to be new in box. One of the front shocks is missing the installation kit which includes the bushings and washers. Should I just use the factory bushings/washers, or should I try to find another installation kit. I tried to contact the seller, who had 100% feedback when I purchased, but they were booted from ebay 2 days after I purchased them.

  9. I was coming home from work at night a while back, when I come upon an older escalade and a new dodge ram quadcab side by side taking up both lanes. They would stop in the road and take off, then slow down and do it again. They were starting to piss me off, the escalade turned down a side street, and I was left at a red light with the Hemi. A kid probably 19 or 20 was yelling at me from the passenger seat, so I rolled down my window. He asked me if I wanted to race my "piece of shit" against the Hemi. I told him whatever. I took the traction control off and when it turned green, I punched it. This was before I had any mods and I spun heavy off of the line, but was always ahead of the Hemi. As i pulled away, I could here the kid yelling "That is a bad f***ing truck man". The only mods I could see that the Hemi had was dual exhausts. After a few blocks, they gave up and turned around. It felt good to take down a couple of punk kids, talking crap.
