my buddy wanted to drop stock 317s on his 4.8 and then he found out what it would do to his comp and he dropped that idea really fast lol, i think that it would drop it somewhere in the 8's or very very low 9's

 

bad enough those things feel like slugs to begin with

317's on a 4.8 wouldn't be such a great idea wouldn't it drop the comp wayyy low? great idea for boost but if your planing on staying n/a i would look into something else.

kind of a lot of work not to mention its 90mm unless you get a ls1 intake and keep your 78mm tb but if thats what your doing it would be a waste of time imo.

That install looks really clean and seems like it shows nice gains. It got confusing to me when they strated talking about changing the accessory setup to a f-body one. I dont think wed have a need to do that on our trucks would we?

 

yes you will have to relocate the acc bracket on our trucks for this mod to work.

what codes is it throwing? this sounds exactly like what mine was doing. did you check all the grounds? go back and re check the wires to the MAP sensor.

Ok I pmd him to see what all is needed. You say your gonna do a car intake which I assume a LS1 or 2 intake but I thoguth they wouldnt work on our engine without a lot of modification.

 

heres a step by step on how to put on a car style intake a little bit more work and not a direct bolt on but imo the car style does look a little better. pm me about the injectors and what all is required i'll also send those pics tomorrow

yeah it probably is just a small leak thats what mine was really tiny but it sounded like hell, and drove me nuts to the point of me taking the headers off and finding the small tear.
