How do you make them fit for a 03 SSS what do you have to do to make it dual exhaust?
-
Wheres the best site to get a lowering kit for my 03 SSS with stock 20's with 305/50/20 tires, Im thinking a 3/4? I want to spend under $200 for the everything I need. Can someone post links to the kit that I need? Thanks
-
Yes the piston calipers are larger and so are the actual calipers. It is worth it for the swap if you have the $$.
Do you happen to have part numbers? That would help alot.
-
Rotors, calipers, caliper brackets, brake pads
I have to get the calipers too? thats going to get expensive almost not even worth it vs just getting the stock 12''?
-
Im going to get new front brakes and rotors today, with the 05 and up front 13' inch rotors what do i need to put them on my 03? caliper brackets and rotors? if anyone has part numbers that would help? Thanks
-
I can asure you it will not a bolt on so to speak. Just do the front upgrade from a 06' SSS. New bigger piston calipers and rotors and it will be a big improvement. Also now that you are there might as well do SS lines as well. Good luck!
what do you need to get to have the 06 SSS upgrade?

Would it be worth waiting to save up for the Yank ptd3600 with the mods that im doing? Were is the best place to buy it? What dose that converter cost? Thanks
-
yank PTB3600
I have a yank ptb3200 in my other trailbalzer and man drives the same
I ran a 13.3@103 STOCK in my tbss added in the yank ptb3600 nothing else 12.7@104
My wife drives the truck everyday no problem and the ptb3600 drives so much better than the sstb3600.
Trailblazer's SS runs a 13.3 stock? I thought they ran a 14 stock?
-
Just a heads up I'm running the 278mm Circle D converter and have no complaints at all.
Do you mind me asking where you bought it and how much it cost? Have you ran your truck at the track with those parts in your sig?
-
The dealer is gonna rape you on costs. You would be better off talking to Danny. When it gets rebuilt, put stronger and better parts in it. Do some research on here about trans upgrades to decide what you wanna go with. As far as the ebay TC, I don't know. But for that price, you could get hooked up with a small stall Circle D or the guys from LEP or HPM could get you one from PTC.
The only reason im going to the dealership is because my dad is the service manager and I get everything done for free. I just have to pay for the parts and I get them for cost price anyway so that's way I would do that.
-
Somewhere around 14.3 if the conditions are good and you catch a good light. With that many miles, I would honestly think about getting your trans beefed up and rebuilt or just getting a built one from FLT. It's pricey, but at least you know it will hold when you start adding power. Like stated above, get with Garth or Mike (zippy) from LEP and they will surely hook you up with what you need. Steve (Mr. P) and Danny (sprayed99) with HPM can help you out too.
Im plaining on getting my tranny rebuilt and serviced at my local GM dealer, has anyone have experiance with any of the converters on ebay? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GM-4L60E-4L...es#ht_679wt_941

Ok thanks everyone. My truck has 90,000 miles on it right now. What do you think my truck would run with out the stall with just: LT headers-Full exhaust, CAI, 160 stat, shift kit, corvette servos, and a tune from wheathy or blackbear?
-
When you do the trans, do the servos too. A slightly higher stall, with some good tuning will get you the times you want without a lot of money. A 160 stat would help as well and is a cheap mod.
Were do i get the servos and what servos and parts do i need?

You're going in the right direction, but first I would consider which mods are you gonna do for sure and what are your power goals. Do you wanna go with a FI setup or go with a N/A setup? You can do a blower and a cam and see better than those numbers with a good stall. You can also do a heads/cam swap and yield good results too. I wouldn't buy a converter until I knew the specifics of the application IMO. CircleD, PI, and Yank all seem to be the popular brands. Some have had good luck with em and others not so good. A well built TC made for lots of power will run you over $500 though.
I think for now my plains are just going N/A for now, Im only 18 with a part time job so money is tight. I just want my truck to run a 14 flat or get into the 13's by this spring time. maybe later down the road (6 moths- a year) If i get more money i might find a used supercharger to put on my truck so i kinda want to have a converter that i can use for either way if i do end up getting a supercharger or not. my truck already has a cat back exhaust and CAI, I will be getting headers, I bought a shift kit but havent put it in yet because i want to figure out if im going to get the converter in or not. I know if i don't i'm going to be kicking my self in the back of the head later down the road that i dint do a converter when i was doing my tranny the first time.

Im looking for a converter that is in the price range of under $500. My truck will have full exhaust (OBX LT headers), K&N CAI, Transgo Shift kit, A custom tune. I might do a supercharger or cams down the road but Im not sure yet. Im looking to get my truck in the low 14's high 13's with these parts am I going in the right direction? What stall am I looking for? This isen't my daily driver its only driven on weekends. Thanks for any help
http://www.circledspecialties.com/p-6-gm-2...-converter.aspx what about this?
