  1. I guess I'm getting old because I'm considering switching up my exhaust to make it quiet. Currently I have 2 loudmouths dumped before the rear axle with no x pipe. I'm considering adding a magnaflow and dumping it after the axle to dial it down a couple of notches. Just wanted to see if anyone has ran a similar setup or if anyone has any other ideas. I don't want to go back to completely stock, just dial it back to a more reasonable level.

  2. I'm not great with wiring and electronics beyond changing fuses. My passenger side tail light has been stuck on the "stop" brightness for some time. The driver's side works perfectly fine.

I took the fuse out and put it back in hoping that it would solve the problem. The passenger's side tail light was stuck on the "running" brightness, not the "stop" brightness. Then I closed the tailgate and it changed back to the "stop" brightness.

This morning my battery was dead. I'm guessing it's related to the taillight but I'm not completely sure. Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Chris

  3. So i'm getting a couple new things for the truck for christmas. One is the Pioneer AVH-3200DVD head unit and the other thing

I want to do is to get a good amp to push my subs. The one I have currently is terrible. I have 2 Kicker CVR 10s in a sealed box

under the rear seats. It says they can handle 400 watts rms each so i've been looking at the Kicker 750.1 amp but i'm tempted to go

with the 1000.1 to get that extra bass. Just wanted to see what yall thought about it because I'm not exactly an expert when it

    comes to this stuff.

    I appreciate the help.

  4. I tore off my left side (drives side) brake duct off my front bumper today at the parking lot i park at for school. If anyone knows where i can buy one or if you have one for sale it would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to repair this one but its not working too well.

  5. So I'm thinking about getting some pacesetter longtube headers for my truck, I've already got 2 SLP Loudmouths dumped under the bed. My only concern is that there won't be enough backpressure with no cats and the Loudmouths certainly don't add much backpressure. Will I lose torque from the lack of backpressure? I know it will sound mean I just want it to perform as good as it sounds.

  6. you wont find anyone here who has long tubes and loudmouths on their ss but there are many guys who have long tubes with other mufflers. Longtubes + Loudmouths = LOUD! im sure you know this already but they are going to be insanly loud but on a side note do you have a clip of your loudmouths dumped cuz I would love to hear that.

nah man i can't get a clip because I have no clue where our digital camera went haha. It sounds really deep on lower rpms and raspy on higher rpms. I love going thru the parking deck and hearin the echo :jester:

  7. I'm finally getting around to putting on a CAI and some plug wires. I'm thinking about doing the t stat but wanted to see if it would be worth it. What kinda power gains would I see from a CAI, t stat, and tune compared to just the CAI and tune? I already have my exhaust done btw.

    thanks in advance

  8. I'm about to start modding my truck a lot more this summer.

I already have 2 SLP loudmouths dumped under the bed. I'm going to add some longtubes, cold air intake, 160 stat, plug wires, NGK plugs, zippy shift kit, a good tune and hopefully a cam and stall.

I also might be able to throw a Radix on there later on in summer.

How much HP can I expect to get with the mods I've listed? with and without the Radix?

    how about 1/4 mile times?

  9. How do you have it exiting off the loudmouths? I had to adjust my dumps a few times before I got rid of all the drone. When I had the stock exit welded back up my head was ringing from how bad it droned till i cut it off and dumped it near the rear axle.

They cut it off right where the pipes go into the stock muffler and then welded the loudmouths on with a foot and half or so of pipe the dumps at a 45 before the rear axle. I mean the drone is bad but I like feelin the power :jester:

  10. I called SLP and they said they're reversable so there was no way to get it wrong. I went to the shop this morning at 11 and was out of there by 1130 with em installed. Sounds great. Loud as hell and drones like a bitch but I love it :jester:

search loudmouth and there's a thread sumthin like "SLP on the way" and that guy has a clip of his exhaust. I asked him about it before I ordered mine.

  11. alright I got my 2 SLP Loudmouths delivered today. They're the 3 inch diameter for the camaro/trans am kits. They look awsome!

Stupid question......is there a specific way the Loudmouths are suposed to be mounted? Like is there a a specified inlet and outlet or can they just be mounted either way?

  12. actually they classified a 5.3L to be a 327 cubic. but the true cubic inch is 325 and its a LS4. from what i know

my bad. I hate the Liter measurements of engines, should only be cubic inches I think.

  13. today at lunch me and my buddy ended up beside each other at a redlight. He drives a 08 z71 tahoe, only mod is a true dual exhaust with flowmaster race mufflers. So he starts revvin and talkin shit just for fun so we ended up racin a little.

when the light turned green he had the quicker reaction time and jumped on me by only about 4 feet. I got on the skinny pedal and blew by him easily beat him by a truck length at 60 mph and by then I had to slow down to get in the turn lane. I even let off a little on the gas once I got ahead just so he wouldn't feel so bad haha. Man that was FUN :P . I know it's only a tahoe but I'm stock so I'll take anything haha.

he went by me when I went to turn and gave me the middle finger but I was grinnin from ear to ear :jester:
