  1. 2017 was a rough year for me. This truck was an impulse buy, because I found it so close to home and I had been on the hunt for one for over two years. I'd love to keep it, but financially and logically it just doesn't make the most sense for myself and my family.

  2. I don't want to sell this truck, but with 3 kids to haul around it just isn't practical. I'd much rather sell my 06 Dmax but I haven't had any luck selling that truck so I figured I'd see if I could find a new home for this one if anyone was in the market. 2003 truck, 66k miles currently but may go up a little bit as it is my primary driver at the moment. Only mods are a magnaflow muffler, 22" TBSS replica wheels, lowered with shackles and turned down torsion bars, aftermarket e-fans and a 10" sub and amp. Truck is in excellent condition both inside and out for a 15 year old vehicle. There are a few minor scratches here that could all be buffed out with the exception of two small spots on the front bumper cover that have been filled in with GM touch up paint. Really hate to sell this truck but I have too many vehicles and somethings gotta go. It took me over 2 years to find this truck after selling my 04 SSS back in 2015. Going to start out with an even $20,000 but would entertain reasonable offers. Absolutely no trades. Please message me for pictures. This site still needs to leave the stone age and do away with it's idiotic 1MB upload limit.....

    Thanks.

  3. I was finally able to take this thing off my truck and replace it with the factory air box. I don't have any pictures but can take some this weekend. It is the same intake as in the following link: http://www.vararam.com/vr6.html

Comes with everything needed to replace your factory air box including both the over the radiator support ram air piece and the velocity cone thing for the bottom of the box. Your factory intake tube is reused with this kit, but any aftermarket tube will work as well I would assume. Can ship if necessary. Asking $200.

    Thanks!

  4. There should be quite a few fuel pump write ups throughout the forums but it is a pretty simple job. Drop the tank, remove the bucket, separate the bucket and pull the old pump out, put the new pump in, put the bucket back together and go in reverse order from there hooking everything back up. Your stock FPR will be fine with that pump.

Here is a decent one for reference

  5. :withstupid: :withstupid: (Both of those guys). Mobil 1 5-30 here to and AC Delco filter.

I stopped using Delco filters because I thought I read somewhere that they had been taken over and manufactured by Fram for a while now.

  6. The factory exhaust size on the SSS trucks is 2-3/4" for the duals portion, and stepped from 3"-3.5" at the merge after the muffler with a 3.5" tailpipe. So the 2-1/4" di/do muffler you ordered is going to be a bit of a bottleneck in tubing size. Not saying the exhaust shop won't be able to make it work, but you'd be much better off going with a 3" di/do muffler instead.

  7. awesome couldn't stay away from the SS trucks! i miss mine. sometimes i lurk around looking for cheapo ones in decent shape. ive had the opportunity to buy my old one back a few times now

Thanks Niko! And no, I couldnt stay away forever lol. Still regret selling my 04 even 2+ years later, but I think I found a good one in this truck. Theres still a few things I want to do to it to get it to where Im happy, like ditch the CAI and put a set of stock efans on it. I did however change the exhaust up a touch this week. The truck had a di/do magnaflow muffler on it when I got it. Didnt sound terrible, but a little too bassy for me. Not to mention whoever welded the damn thing in needs to consider a new career. So I had that thing chopped out, had my exhaust guy make a dual 3" to single 4" y pipe and install one of the spare 4" mufflers that I have, and connect it to the factory tailpipe by removing the stock post muffler y pipe. It's also a Magnaflow but it took out a lot of the bass and added just a touch of rasp which IMO sounds a whole lot better. Hell I might even have to add some long tubes later on down the line to make it even better.

  8. I tried to buy my truck back about a year or so after selling it. The guy I sold it to still had it, but told me to go to hell (literally) because I "never gave him the stock hood that I promised him". I told the guy when he picked up the truck if he wanted the stock hood all he had to do was set up a time WHEN I WAS HOME to come by and pick it up. Anyway, thats my story of a dickhead buyer. Good luck finding your truck man.
