  1. Hey do you still have this? If so please message me. Thanks for your time.
  2. I ended up just making all my own lines out of braided line and connections. Way easier to plumb in over the prebent lines. Thanks for the help. This forum is pretty dead these days
  3. This forum is a shell of what it used to be. I ended up making my own with 6an braided line and appropriate fittings. I guess I’ll have to try a different forum from now on if I need to find something out.
  4. Hey I have an 03 Silverado SS. 2 of the transmission lines (one from the passenger side of the trans to the lower radiator and the other from the passenger side of the trans to the top passenger side of the B&M auxiliary cooler) have rotted out. Has anyone came up with a braided kit? The one line has 2 quick connects and the other has one quick connect and one threaded connection that goes into the B&M cooler. I went to advanced auto and they don’t sell the lines I need. It was so hard to get the old ones out I figured braided lines would snake through everything way better. If anyone can post up a kit or atleast specs for what the fittings going into the trans are so I can match them up I’d appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
  5. Thanks for your advice. I found Dorman made a stainless prebent kit with all the connections on it (Dorman 919-101) for less than $80 shipped. Does anyone have any advice that will facilitate the install? I read somewhere that they recommended disconnecting the e brake and loosening the body mounts on one side of the truck and jacking it up with 4x4s or 2x4s. Any advice or tips to help this PITA job would be much appreciated. Thanks!
  6. Blew a brake line in the SS yesterday. Since the rest of the lines are on their way out Id like to replace all the lines. I can just do the oem stuff but has anyone done a braided kit? Do you have a link for the SS one? Id rather upgrade while Im in there. Thinking about replacing all the brake lines with braided and possibly my transmission lines as well. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
  7. Hey I wasn't able to find time to do the front end yet. I was only able to install a steering stabilizer which seemed to help a great deal (I know these are only band aids but I figured it'd be less wear and tear on the front end). My question is that I've been browsing Rockauto and it seems they have a whole front end kit made by mevotech. It seems to be mixed reviews about this company and it looks like the bad reviews were mostly a couple years ago. Does anyone have any experiences with this brand? It seems like for around 400 the entire front end would be pretty mint (this even includes control arms). I don't mind piecing together anything moog as well if this brand is terrible. I can't provide a link since the rockauto site is finicky but it's labeled under KIT85 mevotech
  8. Awesome thanks for the help gentlemen. I see some places offer a complete moog kit for vehicles but this Silverado SS is an exception (most times when you buy a kit it'll be about $100 cheaper). I'll have to go the Rick auto route. They're usually my go to unless they screw you on shipping 3 different parts from 3 different warehouses. I figured I'd even do a steering stabilizer while I'm in there (I know you don't need them for a rack and pinion but it'll be less wear and tear on everything).
  9. Hey I'm interested in freshening up my 2003 Silverado ss. Does anyone know of a decent kit (preferably moog) that has all the things needed to help tighten the front end (tie rods, ball joins, etc). Any help is appreciated.
  10. Thanks for the quick response. I'll try that email. I'm hoping it'll be fine. I'll guess I'll find out lol
  11. I had Wheatley do a tune for my SS a couple years ago. Truck has every bolt on minus forced induction or internals. I tried PM'ing him but it looks like he hasn't been on this site in 18 months. Does anyone know if I can tow with it? I remember when I had a superchips programmer in my dodge towing anything over 2500 pounds you had to switch from 91 performance to 91 towing. Just got retired from the Fire Dept and am in the process of moving down to NC to live a little easier. Towing a 7x18 trailer rated for 7,000 pounds and don't want to mess up my truck in the process. Drive will be about 12 hours each way and need to do a minimum of 2 trips. Hopefully I can just hit the tow button. If anyone has any info that'd be great. 03 Silverado SS Full exhaust no cats (long tube headers, cat delete, magnaflow dual exhaust) CAI ported throttle body B and M transmission cooler Wheatley tune Etc
  12. Sorry to bring this back from the dead. I had Wheatley do a tune for my SS a couple years ago. Truck has every bolt on minus forced induction or internals. 13. Hey guys haven't been on this forum in years. I was trying to find out if anyone is running custom fender flares on their SS? I made the mistake of buying Silverado OEM ones that were marked that they fit the 03-06 SS but I forgot the SS has a body kit on it making it about 4" lower than where a regular Silverado body ends. My Autobody guy wanted to cut the flares in half so I ended where the body kit started but I thought it would look terrible. Any ideas?
  14. Thanks guys I'll pick some up from the dealer. 2 quarts? Also how much gear oil do I need for the differentials. I couldn't rememeber if it was 2 per diff (4) or 2 total?
  15. Can anyone steer me in the direction of this? I have a 2003 silverado ss so it has the awd transfer case. I did all the fluids a couple years ago and would like to do them again. Front and rear diff - 75w90 (couldn't remember 2-4 quarts?) Transmission- universal ATF? How much? I used the bg stuff last time AWD transfer case- for the life of me I can't find what type is needed. I thought i used royal purple synchromax last time. 2 quarts? I want to have everything ready to go so I can do it all the same day. Thanks for info in advance
  16. http://www.rpmoutlet.com/gmsuvati.htm This seems to be great for the money but was hoping to spend less. Please let the discussion begin...
  17. Sorry if its been beaten to death. Tried researching and not a whole lot came up. Currently have an 03 ss that's chipped (wheatley), ported throttle body, s and b intake, throttle body helix spacer, long tube headers ( no cats), Magnaflow dual exhaust. Looking for some more grunt for a daily driver. Reliablitity is my main concern along with low- midrange power. Would probably upgrade servos and do a shift kit. Seems like the radix mp112 is probably the best bang for the buck. Anyone have any suggestions? Where's the cheapest place to buy it? I've been searching the classifieds but no luck (wouldn't mind used if its in decent shape for the right price). All info definately appreciated....
  18. Thanks for all the input. Ended up buying the digital weathertechs from amazon. Will hopefully get them soon!
  19. Hey what's the part number you used for your weathertechs? I'm leaning towards them but there are so many variations that I want to order the right one that fits with our big center console. Thanks.
  20. Hey guys just wanted some input from anyone who has replaced their floor mats with the custom liners (husky, weathertech etc). I am looking for at the very least the custom liners for the front. I am having a hard time picking the best brand and also finding the right liner cut (there are a few that said they would fit but I want the best fitting one) would prefer black but will settle for a gray if the price is right. Please give me part numbers as well so I can order the right one! Thanks in advance.
  21. Just talked to the dealer they are telling me to give them 100 dollars and they think they can reprogram it. The part that is bothering me is that they are not saying if it is even programmable or not. I don't want to throw my money away. Does this need to be reprogrammed when replaced and if so is there a procedure I can follow so I can do it myself??
  22. I also disconnected the battery to hopefully reset the computer. No changes.
  23. ------update--- I replaced the part in the roof with a brand new gm sensor. Everything bolted right up but the climate control STILL doesn't work. It blows cold for everything 89 degrees and cooler with the ac on and full heat at 90. I drove the car with the sensor out for about 5 minutes before the new one got put in. Would that possibly burn any fuses or anything(I know that for boiler electronics sometimes to blow a fuse if you give it power when not fully hooked up to everything). It sucks that I can't get this climate control working. Even with the old noisy unit I I put that back in it has no effect on the climate control temperatures...
  24. The weird part was when I originally googled the part number it said it was an "on star mic" but dealer confirmed it was temp sensor...
