Well guys it's been a while since I've been on here. So now that I have some time i thought I'd share my latest street race experince. it's July 4th, 10:00pm at night, I'm coming home from work and stopped at a light, here pulls up a Charger hittin the gas a little at the red light, so game on, Light turns green And I purposely don't floor it on green, I let the Charger get about one car length on me and gave the SS all it had, which was enough to pull away, roll down the window and wave bye-bye to the driver. Sad thing is he had a little hotti in the car with him and I'm sure that losing hurt his pride a little in front of his girl.

Congrats on the SSS, I'm just wondering what you think isn't a gret deal I just bought an '05 with 65,000 miles for $16,800.00

Sweet, can't wait to do that myself

Are you asking if the 408 is a crate motor from GM or a "crate motor" in general terms?
Just if it was a crate motor in general....
I figured you could make a 408 with a different crank and bore...but wasn't sure if guys were just buying the motor already built..
-
Hey guys as I've said before I'm not real mechanically inclined, I've been noticing the guys with 408 motors ? And was wondering if this is a crate motor? Or is like making a 350 into a 383 buy changing out the stock crank to a 400 crank? So our motors are 364 "I think" what kind of crank would you use to make it a 408 ? Or am I not on the right track here ? Thanks in advance for the info....

most of the scsb srt-10's have bad drivers. at least from my experience.
i say just race him from a stop now and hit the brake at 60 before he can pass you if you want to save a couple bucks. lol
or you can dig deep in your pockets and make your truck fast enough to take down the supercharged srt-10's.
I think I like that idea..LOL that would buy me some time to get the Radix and then offer him a rematch.....Maybe I'll get lucky and he'll just stomp it on take off...
-
When i raced one we were about dead even till about 50 or 60 and then he started pulling me
I see your 2wd did you spin much? maybe with awd I can get the holeshot?

If I had that kind of money I'd throw mine away ;-}

Yeah I guess alot of guys don't like the grille, I like it but I didn't install it, it was already on when I bought it, but I think it's different never seen one like it.

I didn't really want to try untill I'm modded...

I will be in FLA on April 18th
We'll count you in then, I 'll post more info as we get more commitments.

I really love this car, I going to make it a 383 if and when I have some motor trouble. Probably will be a while because she has no miles on her and runs great. That just gives me time to work on the SSS

What better name than Slivy, and btw I have raised APBT and Staffordshire Terriers for over 15 years and have never had one "people aggresive" they are and can be animal aggresive but thats what they were breed for " fighting" anyone who says otherwise is misinformed. you just have to be a responsible owner and socialize your pup with people and pets. btw most of the "pitbull" attacks you see on the news is a ignorant achor person calling a mixed breed a "pitbull" sorry don't mean to rant but I've been a APBT advocate for years because they get a bad rap for no reason but ignorance!!!!

I gotta say the '67-'69 Camero but don't really want to spend $40,000 on restored one.
or
'86? I think grand national has always been a favorite thats aliitle more attainable.

I'm building a house in a new neighborhood, and I've noticed the guy next to me has a Dodge SRT 10 truck quad cab, so yall know what I'm thinking ( my truck is better than your truck lol ) let's run 'em. Now I'm pretty positive my SSS with nothing more than exhaust couldn't beat thast truck. I ain't scarred though, but I do have plans for a S/C in the next few months ( radix 112 ) would this be enough for the kill? Lord I hope so, I would love nothing more than to bust the new neighbors bubble with a win for the Bowtie. I would be walking around my yard like a peacock in a chicken factory. So what yall think, Is it possible?

Here's my new addition, '05 SSS with 67,000 miles. 22" TIS wheels/ Faulken Tires, Dual Exhaust (flowmaster turndowns), Cowl Hood, Custom Grille, stainless dooor panels, 2" rear drop shackels, Not sure if the torsion bars have been adjusted or if theres drop spindels(if anyone thinks it's lower than stock in the front let me know)I've noticed a little cupping in my front tires so wondering if torsion bars have been messed with. My plans are first: CAI(not sure what brand suggestions would be great), headers(again not sure what brand), electric cutt outs, would like to then dyno for a tune but how do you dyno a AWD? remove front driveshaft? then tune, do tranny upgrades, then save $5,000.00 and get the Radix 112 or 122. Thats the plans, I've got alot of info from everybody, but any more would be greatly apperciated.
