  1. I rasied JRTs...kept 4 as my pets.

They are fiercely loyal and will defend what they feel is theirs till the bitter end. Most people refer to them as dogs with lots of energy, but the truth is, they're like any other dog.. lazy! they like to lay around and chill just like we do. Where they do shine is when you want to play, they're ready! Just say the magic word (whatever word you train them that 'play' means is the magic word) and they'll jump up and be ready to play!

I had all 4 of mine trained to heel off lead. They'd all line up in order on my left heel and we could walk anywhere around town. When I'd stop, they'd stop and sit. When I'd go, they'd go! Was pretty cool, but it took lots of training on my part. They're very smart and trainable but strong headed, so you need to emphasize that you're the leader of the pack at all times.

    Great dogs.. miss mine. :(

Im me if you have any more questions.

Funny.. I also had a Min Schnauzer when I was younger. Also a great breed of dogs!

  2. I know there's a thread about this right now, but it's old and not very informative. I have a 05 Sss that I want to do a remote start setup in and keep the stock key fobs. I had a setup like this in my old 03 but didn't keep it when the truck went away.

So, what parts do I need? Where do I get it?!

    Thanks!

  3. The tinted front windshield on '04 and up had the extended part in the middle that comes down at the rear view mirror (where the fold down visors dont cover.) Found this out today when I got the widow replaced, got the '04 model.

Pretty sure all SS's had the LQ9 (higher compression, higher output.)

    :flag:

Just picked up a 2005 with 30k miles. Silver birch, loaded with a color matched hard bed cover. $19,500. :)

Thanks for everyones advice, I'm back in an SS and lovin it!

  4. If you want a AWD 05 is the newest you can go. All the AWD versions have 4 disc braked, and yes 2005 with e-fans. I think in 06 and 07 they offered cloth bench seats, and maybe even in 05. Also 05 has the sunroof option.

You know mine is still for sale, if you would like it :D

Refresh my memory again, please. What do you have? How much, etc.?!

  5. I am looking for an AWD only, no 2wd trucks. I've driven the AWD (put well over 100k miles on one) and really want to know things like brakes and cooling fan changes between the years.

So, if I understand correctly, the 2005 MY had 4 wheel disk brakes in the AWD version and drums on the rear in the 2WD version? Also the 2005 made the change to electric cooling fans?

Are there any major changes to anything else?

  6. Ok, whew... gotta love armchair QBs that spout numbers and don't even use the same dyno.

I ran my truck on a Dynojet AWD dyno before n after and got some decent numbers for the mods I have. Now if I could just find the damn dyno runs. Without talkin out my ass, I seem to recall a 28 hp increase from custom tuning, no cats, straight 3" exhaust and an intake. My overall HP number was something like 303 awhp.

I do know that the mods made a butt dyno diff and thats really what I was shootin for!

  7. you have remote start with a stock set up? I am guessing you mean no alram just aftermarket remote start?

Yep, thats exactly right. I have the stock 'alarm' with a remote start setup installed. That means I use the stock key fob.
