  1. I replaced both my fronts with Timkin's, Both sides use the same hub. Timken Wheel Bearing/Hub Assembly, Front (50MM Bore Bearing) SP500300 (rockauto has them for under $100 last I checked)
  2. I'm going to be putting the Michelin LTX m/s2's on my truck this week (New Jersey). I thought it was 70k warranty? If it's 90k, thats all the better.
  3. Paint looks flawless - like glass. Beautiful job!
  4. Maybe take a weekend off and each drive half-way? Party a little, catch up on old times, whatever.... and make the exchange that way.
  5. Woo-hoo. Haley is filling the time-slots for the upcoming Black Bear tune in NJ! I'm on Friday the 10th, 9:10am. Hope to see some of you guys there!

  6. That's one nice chopper, but can it do this: Taliban Biker Extermination Squad
  7. Great pic, nice buck! Glad to help and give you guys another vote. Good luck!
  8. Really nice! Everything just pops, and soooo clean! You stashing it inside a storage rental or is that one monstrous garage for all your toys?
  9. Excellent BB! Got a good chuckle from that one!
  10. Volant Cool Air Intakes Volant is looking for someone with a 2011 Chevy or GMC HD Diesel Pickup for a video shoot. If anyone has a truck and wants a free air intake system, please contact dan@dsmediarelations for details. Volant on Facebook
  11. I have an enclosed trailer just a tad bigger than that. Back in 2009, towed it on vacation from NJ all the way to Mount Rushmoore, SD. Had everyone's camping gear, 2 Harley's, tools, etc. loaded in there. Towed no problem, like the SS didn't even care there was anything back there but gas mileage totally sucked! I think I was getting around 8mpg. Wish I had a wedge shaped front on the trailer for that long of a haul, those big, square-shaped trailers don't cut through the air worth a damn. You'll be fine!
  12. LOL, part of my old stomping grounds! I grew up in Browns Mills and check in with my Dad there weekly! On a happy note, Justin at BB Tuning agreed to squeeze me in as the last straggler - North Jersey here I come! Hope to see some of you guys there, anyone know which hotel in Bridgewater the Meet will take place at yet?
  13. Welcome Jay! ...hmmm, death... death mobile!
  14. Sorry to bump up this oldie, but it's still relevant. Since I've always had a heavy foot, radar detectors are in my blood, from waaaay back to the old Fuzz-Buster days. Just ordered a Blendmount and Invisicord myself for my couple-years-old Escort Passport 8500. Wanna clean up that dash/wiindow area and the Blendmount is still such a clean, no-nonsense solution. (but the price is a tad high IMO). Blendmount 2000 Series Mount - BBE-2000 - $89.99 MirrorTap Cord .080" x 9" - $29.99 Thanks for the really nice write-up on this KJT13 !
  15. Thanks guys for all the welcomes. Hopefully I'll get to meet the whole lot of you at some point!
  16. Damn Eeeek, you could make a reality show with all that drama! Hope you're well-away from the floodwaters heading south, you don't need that on top of everything else.....
  17. Hi guys, I'm down in south-central NJ, Mount Holly (not too far from Fort Dix/McGuire AFB). Original owner of a black '04 SS. It's my daily driver and I've not modded it a bit, at least until yesterday (if you consider finally putting in a CAI a mod) Ordered a Volant CAI and scoop last week from autoanything. Had 2 hours before having to head to work so I decided to forego the scoop for now and concentrate on getting the main system swapped in. No trouble at all... except I wish they made the 3 MAF mounting screws an 8th of an inch longer. Boy, firing up the truck afterwards, I could feel, sense, my engine saying "finally! I can breathe!". Thanks to all the hardcore posters here, I had plenty to read and research beforehand, and I finally got up the gumption to act. Someone give me that extra push in the back and make me sign up for the Black Bear Live Tune in Bridgewater next month.... c'mon, twist my arm, convince me, talk me into it, please? I know it's something that absolutely should be done, me and my truck aren't getting any younger, and I'd love to meet some of you guys! Not being an automotive einstein, and not knowing what exactly to ask for in getting a tune, I do know that Wheatley and Black Bear are top-notch with loyal followers all over the community. Maybe I'll look into a good cat-back system soon, I've been drooling over the $1k B&B (Billy Boat) system for a few years now Glad I finally decided to get this 1st post/intro done. You guys are great! -Tom
