The A/C compressor on the SS bought the farm, self destructed. The SS just turned 17,000 miles and off warranty for over a year.
The servicing GMC dealer set me up with the Chevrolet dealer down the street.
Davis Chevrolet 'goodwilled' the entire job, compressor, belt, orifice, tensioner, etc... Saved my ass a grand.
Course now I'm sticking my nose in the new Avalanche...

i forgot to ask them how long i have to wait to wax the truck.. since parts were just painted, i dont want to screw up the clearcoat
Usually about a month for the paint to cure.

Been a minute since I've been out here... Who's all still around from back in the day???
Still have the SS, just turned 17K...
Lots of life changes in the past year... All for the good.
Been playing with the Acura Legends lately... Seemed to have gathered a collection of them...
'94 6-Speed Coupe
'92 LS Sedan
Just bought: '94 LS Sedan, UK spec, was exported and retrofitted, the re-imported to the US 2 years later...
Very interesting history.
The car has yet sit in the driveway, I've had it shopped having several minor issues addressed.

B&B is one of the better systems... Mine was louder than I cared for so I had resonators installed. Now it's just right.

...it's not always good idea to believe everything a car dealer says!
There's always the few and the proud...
The people that will fall for anything!
It's amazing what people can be convinced of!

What I understand is the 'N' in the vin # on the SS replaces another letter which is used on the other Silverados.
Can anyone confirm?
