[Grinding Sound]

i notice a grinding/ rubbing sound during low speed turns? brakes are fine. someone said it could be wheel bearing or axl bearing? also i get a shimmie in the steering wheel on bumpy back roads? it does smooth out if i slow down or stay on main roads. i didnt know if these problems could be related?? any input is appreaciated!

Exactly where is it leaking from? The pinion? The case? The axles?

Has anybody came across a noise in the front end at low speed turns, kinda sounds like maybe a power steering issue or something. Should'nt be to much wrong with the truck has low miles, it is a 2003 Sss awd just turned 38,000 so its pretty cherry ride, but i cant come up with an answer. It is still there after i did the the old jack shaft trick on the steering shaft. Any answer would help greatly????

 

i have the same exact sound but do have some front diff fluid leaking, i figured that it was low on fluid. almost like a rubbing sound? please help

i have an 03 ss and need to change plugs, it is all stock. there are 2 different ones i am being told to use ac delco 41-985 or ac delco 41-110. could someone please help!

turns out it was the brake switch wire was loose kicking it in and out of overdrive! 3 dollar connector! thanks

Not usually, when it keeps popping in and out of OD like that, it usually means that the converter clutch is going bad. Most likely you will need to drop the trans and evaluate from there....

I recently bought a 03 ss awd. when i get to 55 or 60 mph it goes into the drive gear then the lockup gear which its supposed to. Then it pops in and out of the lock up gear without me pressing or letting off the gas. can anyone help??
