  1. Hank's picture show the exact rims I was mentioning. Love them. Also like the ones you are choosing Bassmaster. I just happened to have BBS rims on my BMW and love them, no issues what so ever and would like them on my truck. I already have a 2nd pair of rims though and their no longer made. Good luck with the vote and with what rims you choose.

  2. Ive been an M1 guy with the truck since 33k miles. Can't complain. Saw a big difference when I swapped out the dealership fresh oil when truck was purchased. I believe they had a 15w, which had me stunned. All i know is the truck was more responsive when the M1 was swapped in. However this Amsoil craze is starting to get me and I have a dealer about 10 miles away, I may throw some new M1 into the truck and then drive out to get Amsoil and do a 2nd oil change.

We can do our own little testing Aldo as you know whats going on with the truck. Been happy and satisfied with M1 but curious about the Amsoil and they have every liquid for our truck. I would be going from all dealership syns (except M1 engine oil) to complete Amsoil and it would be nice to see how the dealership syns has treated the truck.

Anybody know if Castrol is the GM stock synthetic liquid for the engine and diffs? Or what brand they use? I use to know awhile back but memory has gotten foggy on that subject.

  3. i live like 1/4 mile from train tracks its terrible. some of the shit they carry on those things youd rather not know

Just hope the Nuclear reactors in 2020 don't roll by your spot on their way to Yucatan(?) mountain's where they will be barry the reactors. I know 2 or 3 will be rolling by within 20 miles of my house, possibly even a side track through a wye to turn the train headed west points from the north.

This is not good. Its the company i work for. Its csx. We carry some really bad chemicals..

Ya CSX has to do dirty work that other truckers won't. I had a job at UP open for me to test their brand new locomotives on their 2 or 4 mile test loop in in Nebraska, I can't remember if it was at the Bailey Yard or not (my godfather golfs with the CEO and COO of UP).

I worked for the railroad and inspected trains for a living. I also was on the wreck crew and a welding inspector so I had to go out to the derailments and trains that hit vehicles. I also had to escort trains with heavy munitions and or nuclear products. If you only knew what was in some of these freight cars as they pass you. I live in a town that is a Mega yard for the railroad..... seen some crazy shit. Sent from my Motorola RAZR MAXX using Tapatalk 2

Damn I would love to have your job, no joke. People think railroads aren't important but they literally run this country. Think HSR (High Speed Rail) will ever make it in this country? Amtrak is killing the airlines in the NorthEast with the Acela trainset's and HHP locomotives pulling the Amfleet coaches.

  4. Welcome to the site! I am mad I never purchased the Srt-10 Nite Runner I test drove in 2005, will never get that chance again with minimal miles and a price that was at 30k. This was when gas was $4.50/gallon for 93 octane in my area.

Love your truck, did the viper logo on the front come stock? I looked at vtcoa.com back when i test drove the srt-10 NR and seemed some very nice members over their.

  5. I would look into the vehicle's history more so than anything else, unless you absolutely want a certain color. I had one of every color in 8-2005 (except silver birch) available to purchase but took the one from the dealership my family has been going to for over 85 years. I did not know the production numbers of the 03 and 04's at the time of my purchase, but would have taken the 2004 AB over my 2003 OB.

  6. Some of your posts are just ridiculous. I don't even know how to respond to the majority of the shi* you say.

It's baffling how much attention I get from you. If you do not know how to respond just don't, is that hard to understand? Obviously it is. And what if i knew of a SS that had 33 miles on it? I know of members who do not return here due to people like you and don't want their truck on a public forum.

It's funny when you were new here you were all nice and now have gained an attitude.

Please don't respond because your wasting my time like Jeff always does.

  7. I highly doubt the lowest mileage SSS is on here due to security reasons, I do not mean the site but in general.

Wow 50 miles, I think I'd put a cover on it and stuff it away in the garage, that's awesome!

Mines an 04, I'm a little under 26K. I had it since new 4/04, it's hard to believe that it's almost 10 years old!!

Holy #*&% your back! My truck just turned 10 last April but with 64k on the clock and 28k of those were driving to Boston..... :happysad: What i would do to get those miles back and be under or around 40k.....

  8. ARH Long Tubes and Lingenfelter 180 thermostat (You may have to put some money in for the ARH LT's, their just over a grand). With your existing mods, the LT's and 180 thermo should get you just at or over 400hp.

  9. What is your main purpose for a truck? Do you tow? Use the bed a lot? For instance I have to have a suv or truck with CCSB or ECSB because I cannot stand little cars (been in enough accidents with idiot friend drivers.

If you plan on doing the bolt ons, cam etc you will have to beef up your tranny or buy one from a shop like FLT. Also the front diffs are known for going out. However the awd will gladly put you back in your seat with a nice grin on your face, it does me.

I have to say the creature comforts in Dodge and Ford are ahead of Chevy though. I only liked the Dodge Srt-10 Ram Nite Runner Quad Cabs and Power Wagon edition. Otherwise I go with a Ford Diesel F-250 if I didn't want a truck that needs to stay clean and look its best at all times. This truck can be high maintenance, not like the Avy where you can go anywhere, then park it at home and sleep.

I am not trying to steer you away from it, nor trying to sell you this truck. I know I won't be selling mine unless I get a DEI SS.

It really comes down to what your using the truck for. Hope this helps a little bit.

  10. Swap your taillight bulbs and 3rd brake light for led's. The intensity the led's give off should offset the tinted tails, unless its during the day (but even then you can clearly see the led's through dark tints).

I have seen 5% tint, but not on here. You may take the cake!

  11. All right. Pittsburgh vs Boston. I remember the last game they played against each other in the regular season and Vokoun stole the game (I told myself if Fleury played we would have tied it). This will be a great series. I know Bartkowski is going to be motivated to wreck Iginla.

I am surprised to see Detroit walking over Chicago, but the series isn't over yet. If either of these teams makes it to the Stanley Cup, and Boston beats Pittsburgh, it will be an original 6 matchup which I have been waiting for since 91 (with the Bruins in the finals).

Love seeing J. Quick of the Kings doing well, saw him playing at Umass Lowell.

  12. Its quite simple with exhausts. Corsa and Dynomax seem to be the companies with no drone, these exhausts are quiet cruising but open up that throttle and your truck is a Nascar race car screaming. Magnaflow, Borla, Gibson, Billy Boat all are deep tone exhausts which each company has a varying amount of drone. Out of the deep tone exhausts, Gibson or Borla is the most quiet.

Im guessing they stick the tube down your exhaust to check on the cats? Someone I knew had cats on their BMW M3 with a Billy Boat or UUC exhaust, but with a flip of a switch the cats were gone and it was straight through (baffles or something). This was back in 98 so memory isn't to great on the specs.

And just to help, our stock trucks do not have headers, we have manifolds :chevy:
