  1. that white is sooooo freaking clean lookingChevy_anim.gif

thanks, i figured the red ws catching too much attention on the highway when i was speeding, so i painted it white with flakes and i fell in love with it! it still catches alot of attention, but i think it looks better this way

  2. like the title states, i sold the SSS. I sold it to my brother in afghanistan, he came home on leave and i let him drive it for the first time since i bought the truck. He fell in love with it and since im starting school soon i figured i wouldnt need the 6.0 but a gas saver. so i offered it to him and he took it with out even thinking. Anywho i just want to thank everyone on the site for welcoming a noob like my self to the site and gave me valuable info about my truck that i didnt know. i advised him to come to the site if he has any questions...so if he does i know you guys and gals will welcome him like you did me.

  3. Was driving my moms 05 silverado and she has duel climate control, we always have it on cold, recirculated air and the snowflake like it on. Worked fine until today, got in to meet her for lunch and the passenger side was blowing cold, but the driver side was like the heater was on, turned truck off then on, went to hot then cold and turned a/c off then back on and it still blew hot. Had lunch with her and let the truck sit for a good half hour while we ate. Got in and the drivers side blew cold as if nothing was wrong. No lights on the dash came on or anything, just wondering if anyone had an answer to why this was happening. Thanks for the input!

  4. I know this is not something that is done a lot to SS trucks, but lowering the truck just isn't for me. I want to put something like a 3-4" lift kit on my SS. Would I be looking for kits that fit the silverado 1500 or are there SS specific kits/parts that I need to get to make this happen?

this is not to be done at all.

stock ride height or lowered al the only 2 acceptable heights for the beloved SS.

  5. idk how much weight was lost, but i tok the tire, cable thing, tow hitch and rear bumper off when i installed my rollpan and in el paso on heavy 22's i did high 16 low 17 on stock tune with the tail gate closed.

  6. Sorry for your loss and welcome to the site. I'm sure most of us have been down a similar path in one way or another. With that said, you've always got someone to listen/understand when you come to this site. Damn good group of people.

^^^couldnt have responded any better.^^^ we went thru something similar, its tough, but time heals everything. always remember that no matter what relationship you and your father had, he is proud of the man you are today.

  7. sorry to hear about the accident. my gf was saying the same thing your wife said about my truck when we found out today my sister in law backed into a fire hydrant and cracked the driverside back cladding and dented the metal on the bed thats hidden by the bumper. just thought it ws funny that our women know our emotions of our rides! and i think dumb people that dont take weather into consideration when driving should have their DL revoked.

  8. my SS is an all around winner for me. it goes fast when i want it to, moves stuff when i need it to, runs all over cars when they wanna lose and turns heads everywhere i go. its everything i wanted in a truck. and i love it even more because its a 2WD and i can leave a nasty scratch on the road when ever i deem necessary. i feel like we suit each other!
