  1. I used 15182094. I bought the thing off of ebay from a junkyard and when I got I checked the u joints and they felt fine. I put the driveshaft in the truck and there was a vibration. So U joints are cheap enough I just replaced them. There is still no change. I going to take it out and have it checked. I'm going to have my tires rebalance as well but it feels to fast to be a wheel plus I swapped the tires from front to rear and there wasn't any change. Wheel bearings and tie rods look and feel good. Both cv axles are brand new. If its not that driveshaft then I don't know what it could be.

  2. Well ever since I ve got the truck back together there has been a vibration coming from the front on the truck. Its very fine and I can feel it in my steering wheel and feet. It gets worse as speed increases. Im thinking that its my front driveshaft since I purchased a used one from a junk yard for the 4l80e swap. The truck is lowered 2in front 4in rear. The U joints look and feel good. If there is anything else I should look for then someone please let me know. Thanks for the help

  3. Also do now use your own personal oven for this. You will not be able to cook food in it again.

Sound advise here. Don't go throwin' Mama's cornbread recipe in there after you've used her for powder-coating.

Probally would taste the same. I have an oven in the shop that is used for things like this...........i just don't know if I could fit a rim in it or not. I might have to make my own hot box.

  4. I own a 2010 camaro SS and I like the car. It does have horrible blind spots but it is fun to drive. There's nothing like hammering through the gears manual style every once in a while. I wouldn't trade my truck for one though.

  5. updates on this build!! Id like to see some more up close pics of the turbo setup and how you routed everything. which parts you used on the kit you made. its veryyyyyy interestinggggg to me... :troll:

Truck is up and running but only been able to give it 50% throttle. I have a slight vibration coming from my front driveshaft u joint that I'm having fixed. I'm stuck in New Jersey until the first of feb so I won't be able to do anything for awhile. The turbo setup is just a flipped manifold setup. Waste gates are vented to the down pipes. It has 2 1/2" downpipes right now which I'm thinking about having a set of 3" made. I'm a little worried about controlling my boost with such small downpipes and also havering the wastegates vented to them. Any questions you have just ask away.

  6. He's still got the nova I guess he just wanted to build a turbo truck lol. All I know is that it is a turbo 6.0L. As far as the truck goes everything seems to be going good. I had a bunch of little issues come up that bothered me at first. One turbo was getting hotter then the other which ended up being a bad o2 sensor. When you let a truck sit for 7 months there's a lot of creaks and moans that happens when you first drive it again. Scared me a couple of times

  7. Whats the status on this bad boy?

I looked up that cheif guy you were talking about, a lot of trash talking lol but I guess that's what gets a race going.

I spent like an hour or 2 looking at visa from that one lol, I sure miss the street scene saw a few people from Cali I know n ran with before.

Are you planning on this being a street truck? I mean you got the AWD already so definelty got the advantage there already.

Yeah its going to be a street truck. I wanted something that I could cruise around and just have fun in. I do live 3 miles from the track though. Zippy is doing the tuning right now so I've gotten to drive it a around a bit. Man I didn't realize how much I missed this truck. I ve been driving my work truck (2012 f150) for the last 7 months and forgot what power was. I've only been able to give it maybe 1/4 throttle and already faster then that piece of crap. I keep forgetting to get an idea video but I ll try tonight. The truck isn't loud at all. Most people wouldn't even think twice about it if they heard it idle. On a negative note though I'm going to have to rebuild the front diff soon. The howl is louder then I remember lol.
