  1. What worked well for my football team in HS was having a topless carwash. Put up a buncha signs advertising a topless carwash and when they pull in just dont wash the top of the cars!

That would be funny as all get out. One of my Airman suggested having topless dudes in the tent :wtf:

  2. It's getting to that time of year I know we all love, yep, time for the cars shows to start big time. I'm wanting to organize a show for my command to raise money for our MWR fund and was wondering if anybody had experience planning or running one. Its going to be a one day event in August, an end of summer kind of thing and will have different classes for cars, trucks and bikes.

What entry fees if any were charged and how much? What were some of the prizes that you liked/wish you had won? I like the dash plaques to show off at other shows so all entrants will get one with trophies for best in class and some other type of award for best in category just not sure what that would be. What were some categories (i.e. best paint/engine/stereo) you thought were cool? Was there a "Best in show" over all?

I'm not sure how judging would go, I thought about having all the entrants do secret score sheets/ ballots or would having a panel of judges be better.

I will be on a tight budget so I was am going to have a couple of raffles for squadron gear (t-shirts, hats, etc.), a car wash, and burgers and dogs to sell.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  3. since your close ill sell you my other spare with the unused spare for 100 bucks lol. factory new goodyear on it then you can match

LOL. While your BS'n. I finally got tires on it last Sat. Went with the Yokohama Spec X in a 295/40 on the stock rims. SO much better than the factory Goodyears. And so quiet that now i can here the transfer case grinding away.

  4. I have been checking out the site for a while thought I would join and get to know some other SSS owners, and learn something. I'm in the Navy stationed at HSL-40 in Mayport, FL. Looking forward to meeting others in the area. If you have seen a Blue SSS around Jacksonville or Daytona with a spare tire on the rear driver side for a while that's me.
