Well I suggest you and the rest of these trolls on here that run their mouth read the first two words in this thread that state "just curious" cause y'all are the morons that turned this into a big deal for no reason when I was asking a simple question. If you had said first without everyone else putting their two sense into it I would have dropped it but everyone wants to be a smart ass all of a sudden. If that's the case you "moderators" need go start closing every single old b.s. thread than. So go head and close this one while your at it.

Just curious, why do our mods seem to lock or completely delete topics? Someone today posted in a old DUI thread and they locked it. So what if its old. Another time members were trying to get bac a banned member and they locked that one also. Another topic was stated about the same issue and they deleted it all together. I'm not a smart man and all but if the site is doing bad, don't you think mods doing things like this will continue to hurt the site? I wanted to leave a comment in the DUI thread but nope couldn't do it cause someone locked it. And yes I realized before I wanted to post that it was from 07. Just speaking my mind. What do you guys think?

Well guys the long debate is over, this week I have been going to different stealerships, surfing the web, and searching for a new truck. I no shit have had nightmares about selling the truck and falling into depression cause I regret it. (I know that sounds gay) but anyway enough with the dream. One minute I would want to sell it and the next I wouldnt. Same for all day today, I even founda truck I would possibly want but something just didnt feel right. And the new trucks like 10/11/12 models i seen today were nice and I would love to ride in one of them, they just didnt have what the SS has or a special edition truck does. No big motor, no center consol. Yea there were a couple new ones that did but hey, only rich people can afford a GMC Sierra Denali. So i got home still certain i was selling her and would continue the search for another. While I was sitting on the couch with my girl, I stopped searching and watched the youtube video I made for the buyer I had lined up. Right than and there I new i wasnt ready. As much as I want a new truck, I am just not ready to let her go. So I called the guy, explained exactly this (less the dreams lol) and he understood. Immediately after haning up I felt a weight lifted off of my shoulders! I hope I never have to go through this again, when im ready to sell I want to be certain and know im ready. So now that im back, what do you guys recommend I do about this driveshaft issue lol. Thats first order of business. Next is give her TLC and get her to tip top shape. Have a cam issue I need to adress, along with a little cosmetics and I should be back in business.

Opening my eyes to the bigger picture and seeing other member situations that were similar, helps alot. This forum is a great tool that I'm glad I'm part of.

Its always a tough decision, trust me. You just have to do what you think will be the best for you. And Remember its just a vehicle, I know its hard to let go but obviously you are thinking about it. I miss my SS all the time, but I know that in the long run it will end up being better that I sold it.
I think you and I are on the same page. Couldn't have said it better myself

Thanks guys, I'm having an internal battle here. I haven't wanted to sell it before until I recently did all the engine work. After the cv axles breaking and now the drive shaft, plus it eats so much gas I can't even afford to drive it around. It takes a hundred bucks to fill it up and this damn cam just sucks it dry. I don't think I'm going to be able to sleep tonight.

Well I have a serious offer on my SS. The guy said he would drive in this Saturday and give me $12k for it. Keep in mind the driveshaft is broken and I'm taking the system out. I'm getting sad thinking about selling it. What do you guys think about that price?

That sucks to hear. I hate driving through ft. Worth. But ill tell you what, since I'm such a nice guy, I'm gonna go ahead and drive down your way after work and ill drop off my trouble free 2wd 5.3 truck and ill take yours as is. Thanks. ;)

Thanks for the positive responses guys. As for the tires, our broke government was throwing away those brand new tires for no reason so I asked if I could have them. I'm posting them on Craigslist tonight and hopefully I make enough to cover te damages. Do you guys think the weight from those tires had anything to do with it?

Well the SS ate shit, again! I'm driving home from the base and I hear a loud noise and see crap flying everywhere on the freeway as well as cars trying their best to get from behind me. First thought is a blow out. Of course with my luck I'm going through downtown Fort Worth on interstate 30 where they of course are doing construction and happen to have to shoulders. I literally shut my eyes and prayed for safety and the SS god gave me enough momentum to make it over the hill and the construction barriers open up to a exit. I pull over immediately, get out and see no flats. So I crawl underneath and my driveshaft is in two pieces laying on the ground. This of course is after a long weekend at the base playing war games in 100 degree heat running miles upon miles for fun. By this point dn near ready to drug abuse I'm so fed up with stuff going wrong. Don't worry it gets better. Than two cops roll up while I'm waiting on the tow truck and thankfully I was in uniform, otherwise I know they would have given me a hard time. The tow truck finally shows up over an hour later. And to make this story short my front bumper was crushed by this idiots chains pulling my truck, rear number scratched to hell from dragging case she sits so low, And my truck almost fel off the tow truck in the way home. I'm exhausted. Ill explain more later. Here's some pics for y'all to enjoy.

That sucks. I was going to say get pdr done to fix it but that's in a bad spot and a good crease in there. Idk if they can pdr it but its worth getting a quote. It's only usually about $50
