Well as many of you know I built my engine into a beast (video posted a few days ago), than I broke my truck yesterday, and when I got home today I figured what the hell I might as well put the last of my finishing touches on her before the difficult work begins. What do you guys think? She is definitely 99% murdered.

Well I got home not so late today and crawled under there to take a closer look. My dad said he looked at it and that they were busted. I took closer pics for you guys. My dad is on the cheap side and said there is a place locally that will rebuild them. I'm more than positive I'm going to buy new ones from the dealer or the parts store. Just waiting for the right time to knock this out now.

Yes thx guys. If nothing is broken and the boots just seperated and slung grease, would that still cause the whinning noise? Now my time is precious cause I'm in uncle SAMs hands until Sunday night.

I'm not sure if they snapped but something is definitely separated cause there was grease splurged all over my wheels, fenders, doors, and all the control arms and all the other stuff behind the wheel. On Both sides. I'm dropped 3/4. Lca up front. Shackles and hangers out back.

I forgot to mention. When I was on the home stretch , when I would take off from a stop there was an extreme whinning noise and would be gone about 10-15 mph into. This noise should still be from the cv axles right? Please don't tell me that's a different noise and problem I have to worry about.

I've had my truck slammed a good 1.5-2 yr I believe problem free. Not being slammed isn't any fun tho.

Ok, is there by any chance a how to pictorial? I'm sure my old man knows how to do it but it would be nice if I could see exactly what I'm doing so I can knock out one side while he does the other.

Well I didn't get on her but she definitely picked up way easier than before. I like to put miles and break in engine parts before I really test them out. Damn cvs chose the wrong time to take a dump. I barely made it home too. And not just one but both of them! Is this a hard and expensive fix?

I was wondering if there is a certain amount of subscriptions we can have to follow threads. I notice I will subscribe to many threads and weeks down the line notice an update by surfing the forum but no e mail. Than when I click on it it doesn't show me following it and I have to re follow it. I'm thinking maybe we are only allowed so many subscriptions and as we follow more the old ones get bumped off our list maybe? I hate missing updates and by the time i see it months have passed by. Any knowledge on this would be great. Thanks.

Sorry I barely seen this for some reason. I have djm 3/4, lower control arms, shackles and hangers. I had my buddy's shop do the pin stripe for me at metroplexkustoms.com chrome wheels I had 265/35 all around and now I have 285/40 i think it might be 285/35 i cant remember in the rear and two of the old ones in the front until I can afford to replace those also and have matching size all the way around.

Contact nfamous suspension in Mansfield texas. He had bagged several SSs and might be able to supply you.

Haha thx guys. Yeah I'm still researching trannys everyday and am learning about them. I think I'm going to do an 80 swap and a high TC. Nope not murdered out yet. I already have my tail lights smoked. I just need to put them on as soon as I get her back today. Than she will be murdered (less the badges)
