      Marty, speed density basically means you eliminate the mass air sensor and its duty to make the engine controls decision. I.E, timing, air flow, fuel, ect. The reason for doing this is because in boosted applications the mass air sensor can only read so much air flow at a certain RPM. After that it is guessing and im sure you know you dont want to guess when it comes to the engine controls.
