ive got cats to put on it but i havent figured out exactly how i want to do it. i think if i modify the cats a little bit i can make it fit before the bend on the drivers side.

 

its 3 inch, Ive been meaning to get some sound clips of it but ive been too busy lately. ill see if i can get some up this week.

thats pretty much the same setup i have on mine now. it has a bit of rasp at partial throttle, but other than that i really like it.

 

Ive been thinking about putting a set of high flow cats or something on there to get rid of the rasp, but i havent decided what i want to do yet.

this might be a lost cause at this point, but the city is basically forcing the owners to sell KCIR so they can turn it into a park.

lol I will say this it is much darker in there now. Just by changing the headliner made it 100% different

What muffler setup did you purchase? Just curious as my brother had the Dual Extreme setup. They claim it is a bold sounding "for extremists who want to take their truck to the next level" but it never bothered me. I really like how these exhausts are dyno tuned and they say 10-20hp gains. I also liked how its nice and tame at idle, just a tad louder than the stock SS

 

I would love to get the Super Truck exhaust as it exits before the rear tire, but it does not apply to the 2003 SS AWD truck, but it does to the 2006 SS rwd truck. Is their something in the way that causes this specific system not fit the AWD SS'? Might have to call up Gibson and ask...that would be sweet and might even choose that over the Corsa if it fit the 2003s. It does fit the VHO 4wd drives though....any clarificarition?

 

 

 

 

i think the only reason it wont fit is because of the different y pipes.

 

i had the supertruck on my last silverado and i really liked how it sounded.

I had Flo-Pro on my SS, droned a lot at all speeds

Then put a 50 series Flowmaster, somewhat droned

Then to a 23" Magnaflow, only droned at 70 mph

 

VHO now has true dual 18" Mags.

Didn't drone at all until recently when I dumped it, now drones at 70-75 mph in OD

 

I really hope you can find one that works for you and your health, hope this helps.

 

which flo-pros did you have? and which magnaflows did you switch to?

 

i just did lts and an x on mine with the flo-pro twisters that were on it before and it drones bad, and has the worst rasp ive ever heard. i need to do something about it but dont want to buy another set of mufflers and still not be happy with how it sounds.

it could be done but it wouldnt be pretty.

 

i think you would be better off just sticking with the same size. if you can find some that are really close on wear that might work.

 

FWIW at the shop i work at we replace all 4 if its awd, were not allowed to do them unless its a complete set
