  1. My buddy turned me on to ICE I like it between major details, really easy to use. Also, if you put a little in HOT water during car washes it works awesome. BTW your reflection could use a little work, I always noticed that it never made me look any better either. :yellow_loser:

 Yeah there's no product on earth that can improve my reflection!

  2. Your paint is pretty smooth ... have you every color sanded it? The edges in the reflection are sharp and clean ... most I have seen are bumpy and blocky ( pixelated I guess ).

    Big O,

I've never color sanded my paint, I've just tried taking real good care of it with regular washing, and Zaino. I absolutely LOVE Zaino. I've been using it for years and Mr. P's point about protecting the paint is very true. I don't think that this Turtle Wax Ice product is better than Zaino, but more of an alternative to a nice shine in a relatively short time. Any of us that have used Zaino, know that it's a good all day project (sometimes two day). I am pretty impressed with the results of the Turtle Wax product but it will be interesting to see if it stands up to the test of time.

What part of the Big Square State are you from?

  3. Okay, so I'm a bit of a car care junkie. If there's a product on the market that claims wonderous things I'm usually the sucker that runs out and buys it to find out. So I've been seeing ads for this new Turtle Wax Ice Synthetic line of products (Liquid Clay Bar, Polish, Detailing Spray) So yes, I ran out and got some. Now I'm a Zaino junkie, so I usually compare everything to Zaino when I get to polishing my truck. I was hopeful that since this is a synthetic product (like Zaino) that the results would be similiar.

First I did the liquid clay bar, which was surprisingly easy. It beat the heck out of going around my truck with an "actual" clay bar and when I was done it left the surface nice and clean and smooth.

After the Liquid Clay Bar I used the liquid Polish. It feels very greasy so I was a little skeptical, but I followed the directions and proceeded anyway. The results were very surprising. With the exception of having to go around and wipe off some streak marks it was very fast and easy as well. I finished up with the detailing spray (which also helped with the streak marks).

Does it compete with Zaino? Hard to say, the end result is very nice and it wasn't near the time and effort of an entire Zaino treatment. For the price I think it's a good alternative and a lot less work.

Here are a couple of pics that I snapped of the completed project. Disregard the ugly mug in the second pic and just admire the shine. :) Not too shabby.
