  1. I have thought about the helper air bags as well but they are costly as compared to the $40 or $50 for the 1" blocks. Plus I am really looking to just give my truck a little rake when empty and when my bike is in it to look level. At one point I had shocks in the rear with the springs over them and they raised the rear up but they weren't really made for our trucks so eventually the spring started to rub the shock body and started to squeak. That drove me crazy so I put some direct replacement Monroe sensatraks on but it brought it back to stock height. I had no issues with a vibration or anything at that time so i am thinking now that I might be ok with a 1" block. Thanks for your guys help. Anymore info would be great. Especially if anyone has had any experience with them.
  2. I am thinking about installing 1" or 2" blocks under my leaf springs to lift the rear of the truck up. I carry around my dirt bike alot and it seems that the rear sits down lower than the front with just my bike. I think it would also give the truck a little bit of a sleek look by adding the block and giving it a little rake towards the front. I know I won't be increasing the load capacity but maybe when I put my bike in it will just level it out. Has anyone added something like this to there SSS? Do you think it would screw up anything with the angle of the drive shaft and create a vibration or something?
  3. Installed the Monroe SensaTrac Load Adjust shocks in the rear. They have a coil over the shock and they feel great. The truck rides better than new. I also put the Energy Suspension Sway Bar bushings and End Links on, what a difference. The truck doesn't dive anymore, amazing and cheap. Also put Napa Ultra Premium Rotors (Front and Rear) on, they are made in the USA and have a coating on them to protect them from rusting and I used Adaptive One Ceramic Pads. The pedal doesn't fade as much and it feels good so far.
  4. i ordered the monroe reflex for the front and the sensa-traac load adjusters for the rear. I will be getting them tomorrow and putting them on saturday. I will let everyone know how they are.
  5. Do you have the PN for the Bilsteins? Also everytime i put my dirtbike in the bed it does push the rear down a little bit and I would like to keep it up so I thought the coil over shocks would work pretty good. Has anyone on this site used them yet?
  6. I am in need of front and rear shocks for my stock 03 SSS. I was looking at the Monroe Sensa-Trac's for the front and the Sensa-Trac Load Adjusting for the rear. I put my dirt bike in the back and use the bed often so I figured the Load Adjusting shocks which have a coil over the shock would help keep the truck level. Does anyone have any experience with either shocks? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  7. Thanks guys. I should have them today. I will try and take a pic when they are on, but i am not sure how to post pics yet.
  8. Thanks man, they look really good. How do they perform on your SSS? Also have you experienced any flatspotting or anything like that?
  9. I am about to purchase Pirelli Scorpion ATR's for my SSS. I live on Long Island so snow happens every year so I figure that since I am only running one set of tires year round these would be pretty good. I had a set of Bridgestone Duelers on after the stock set and they weren't good at all. In less than 2 years they are already 1/2 way gone. Does anyone have a pic of their SSS with them on it, I would like to check them out so I can see what they will look like?

    ss v cts & g-35

with my pretty stock ss, my friend in an 04 cts pulled next to me at a red light on a local 3 lane highway. he said his cts was fast so i said lets give it a run. I had noticed that an infiniti g35 2dr was next to me on my right while is was in the center lane and my buddy was in the left lane. so me and my buddy punched it and i left him at the light and had him up to about 85 when we had to start slowing down for the next light. i just so happened to look to my right and saw the g35 at about the door when i let off. i didn't even notice he punched it also. so one was an expected kill and the other was a pleasantly suprising gift. my buddy in my passenger seat was laughing his ass off
  11. I am in Suffolk county. My SS is black and i think there might be just 1 or 2 around my area. Let me know what you find out.
