Welcome to the site
Yeah 13.8 is har to believe since real SS's with similar mods only run about 14.5
The Joe gibbs Silverado is also faster than the SS, It all comes down to Horsepower to weight ratio and the LS with the plastic step side bed and 2 wheel drive has a better Horsepower to weight ratio. I don't want to be disagreeable I want to be yall's friend but read this. 2003 SS Write up Also the Edge CS programers are under rated by people who don't have them.

Hello everyone, I just joined and I hope you will welcome me to your forum. I know they did not make the SS Silverado until 2003. In my intro I ask of the members of this site to consider excepting me and my truck into your forum. If my truck doesn't offend anyone here with an SS I would love to be a part of your group. This truck I bought almost 3 years ago and I had a vision in mind when I bought it, although the SS idea didn't come to me until I found out that Chevy built a SS proto type or concept in 2002 and it was a step side and that got me to thinking. So this is what it turned out to be. My truck is not a race truck but it's no slouch. Anyway, If I have very many people here that don't feel I should be on here I will withdraw my membership, no hard feelings. I like to think of my truck as a SS Chrome edition. LOL!!!!!!!!! Hope to hear from you.
Step Side Ss? Really

Just so you guys know, your right GM never produced a SS stepside. My question is, what is a custom truck? I believe it is a truck modified to the owners likes, I thought you guys were all about that. What if someone took a "real SS" and put a stepside body on it because they liked it better? Or god forbid what if they liked chrome and chromed out there "real SS" does that make them a want to be? You know there are allot of trucks out there that are very nice, I.E. SS's, LS's, Stepsides, fleetsides, old and new that good people have put allot of time and money into making them there own and I think that is great. The streets would be very boring with nothing but "real SS's" on it. Also remember the greatest form of flattering is imitation. Myself, I have a Silverado LS, I don't consider it an SS but I used the SS badges because it is very sporty and it is pretty darn fast and I didn't like the look of the 1500 badges or using no badges. I think the SS's are good looking trucks but I like chrome myself or I would have just bought an SS. Like I said "CUSTOM TRUCKS ROCK" Long live Chevy and the people who buy them.
