  1. sorry havent been on in a while, but i "was" planning on building and possibly doing research from you SS vet builders on the 408 stroker; that plan has changed due to also blowing my dirtbike head so now having to rebuild that also haha. I got a price of $1600 to get my block cleaned up, cylinders honed and all, and all necessary parts. Whats your guy's thought on porting my stock heads? or should i swap to different heads? and what kind of money is that? Thanks!

  2. Well, got some bad news.. Engine is no good. Mechanic found metal shavings in the oil as well as coolant, and some engine clunking and very low oil pressure. So that means I may just buy a new engine if it's better than re building. So I'm open to any advice from you veteran SSS builders. Thanks!!

  3. I know everyone is mostly using Tunes, but i have a hypertech programmer that was in my 2006 Silverado SS sitting around that i don't use so i figure i might as well try and get it to use for someone else. Works for 2004-2006 Chevrolet silverado 5.3 and 6.0 and im sure for more than that. You can check on Hypertech's website for more details. Asking $220 or make me an offer.

  4. Well, thanks all for the nice welcoming. The names Jose, finally decided to join in on all the fun. I have a 2006 Silverado SS that was once my dream truck when they first came out. Luckily, i got it brand new, so i know exactly what it's been through. Looking to eventually build, and someday have it as "bad ass" as most of your trucks that i've came across.
