  1. It's so quiet especially in light of how freakin loud she gets when you get on it.
  2. Sorry don't know to edit with this new Tapatalk format. The T56 finally feels right and the clutch take up is linear. Gotta put a few hundred miles on it though before I really get on it and see what she'll do. The 4.10 gears allow easy 2nd gear starts. 3rd and 4th along with 2nd are generally all I need cruising around town. Really love the truck's powertrain now. I could use a bit more power than 378RWHP but it still is pretty entertaining.
  3. It's a big shifter but it fits well. No reaching for gears. I know the throw would be considerably shorter with a smaller shifter but it ain't bad. The rearend is now shimmed correctly and it feels like a brand new truck. 65mph # 1500rpm in 6th. With the Corsa catback, you barely hear the exhaust on the highway just cruising.
  4. Fixed my hillbilly shifter so it doesn't bang into my center console. We heated it and bent it towards the console 3" and towards the driver 3". That hurst ball falls readily to hand now. Perfect.
  5. Quick update. Yukon did warranty my posi rearend. Decided to go with 4.10 gears so the rearend is getting rebuilt and re shimmed as I write this. Went with a new 12" Corvette flywheel and Centerforce clutch pressure plate set up that gives more surface area. The previous setup was wrong in every conceivable way. Too small, too thin it never had a chance. At any rate the truck should be good to go here very soon. It should be a fun little sub 400RWHP truck.
  6. Non yet. And since I'm currently in Maui vacationing, I'm not caring right now lol. I'll figure it out when I get home next Thursday. If they don't warranty it, I'm gonna go a bit deeper than 3.73. Gotta save some money first.
  7. I got the stock diff and gears back in it. I'm hoping to get the gears warrantied and I'll just have to sell them. Where would the best place be to look for the items you mentioned?
  8. Tell me about it. Got the 5" shortened OEM drive shaft back yesterday, got it in by 5pm. As a side note, I hate the rain. We got all of the fluids in, the speed sensor and reverse light sensor hooked up (the reverse lockout pigtail is on its way from Summit) and took it out for a spin and my rear end cratered. WTF? I just had a posi and 3.73 gears installed back in June. I don't even think I've put 2k miles on my truck since. This really sucks. I almost feel at this point like my build is cursed. My truck has been down for 2.5 months now. Thankfully I have several other cars so I'm not without transportation but I need to haul some crap to the dump, take my mower in for service. They're going to warranty the parts. I'll get it fixed and just go from there. I don't think this rear end is going to be a long term solution. Any thots or suggestions.
  9. Yes you are running rich. Prolly looks like a duramax. Lol. Your build is pretty impressive.
  10. Ordered a new speed sensor along with a D70 HD 31 spline yoke today. Found out the salvage driveshaft is about an inch too long. I'm going to return it and just have a shop in Springfield shorten mine about 6". That should give me the correct amount of play I need. Just should have done this first. Oh well live and learn. Getting close to being up and running.
  11. Found my driveshaft. 90.00 @ the salvage yard. 4L60e. Gonna have to pretty that thing up a bit. Now I need to get a shallow 31 spline yoke. Will be talking to the folks at Summit here shortly. And no that is not me. That's a salvage yard employee practicing his Sears catalog modeling skillz.
  12. Thanks for the info. It's a learning process and an expensive one too. Unfortunately I don't have the time or the patience anymore to turn the wrench and delve into the more complicated work.
  13. Were you running this combo in a RCSB? I'm about to order a 4160e drive shaft with a 31 spline yoke.
  14. Still rockin the 4.8. Get a lot of comments on how good it sounds with the cam and the Corsa exhaust. At some point I'll be trading out the Pacesetters for some KOOKs, ARH or SW LT's. This came today. Just have to sort out the driveshaft now. It's a fun truck but I know if I want to make serious power I'd either have to ditch the Maggie for a turbo or go to a bigger motor. It will run with a stock SS Camaro pretty well and humiliate older GT's. Hoping to get it to the track here soon before they close for the season.
