  1. Well i cant post a video. Later today ill get one on youtube and post a link. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  2. Yes it is running finally! I ran into an issue with it... the NEW crank sensor i got was about 20-30 thousands to long. And was touching the reluctor wheel and wouldnt start. I pulled it to check the reluctor wheel and noticed grooves in it. Put the old one in it. And it fired right up! Trying to post a video now. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  3. So i just realized. When i made this post. I was not expecting to have what i have today haha. So here is an updated list of what the build actually came out to be. 6.0l gen 3 block. Gen 4 rotating assembly. Flat tops. Arp 2000 rod bolts. Trickflow heads Proflow intake manifold. 42lb inj. 90mm ebay throttle body. Fogger unit capable of 650 set up for 250 Single nozzle in intake behind throttle body 100 shot Cam 230/238 114 11.3:1 compression Standalone fuel cell for nitrous Built 4l80e 4x4 Custom 3200 stall from art carr Driveshafts shortened. (Rear) Front lengthened. Thats about it for the motor and trans. Rear end is stock. Front end is stock Transfer case is stock. Except for the bigger spline input shaft to mate to the 4l80e. Stock bottom end except for rod bolts. Hoping for 450-480whp NA and close to 800whp on the units. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  4. Hey gents. Been a while but been very busy with the build. The new motor is in. Trans is in. Got it turning over but have yet to start it. Hopefully Thursday i will. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk

  6. Sweet let me know how it turns out. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  7. Clean your throttle body and the idle air control valve. See if that helps Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  8. Welcome. Im here in riverside. But work down in long beach. I second izzy's. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  9. Hey guys. Im curious what you awd/4wd guys are running at the track? I need a drag radial atleast. But think i might want a slick. Power should be 460-480NA. and plans on spraying a 200shot. I have a progressive controller so itll be controlled out of the hole for traction. But obviously the more i can do the better. Any pictures of your set ups? Im lowered 3/5 but can drop another inch front/rear. Im assuming a 16x9 is needed atleast. But willing to run 17's if theres a good tire setup. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  10. Bump anyone? Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  11. Thats im deciding wether i should paint it a differeng color or not... what do you think? Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  12. In my opinion. If you are looking for a cam with similar separation. And only a little more lift. Its not worth the money to swap. Will you gain power? Yeah a little. But i dont think its worth the 300-400 for a cam. I would do a small stall. And better headers. Or step up to a stall and get a cam thats something like 222/226 113 604/585 and make more power still have a good grunt. And be able to tow. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  13. Hey so when i wired up my electric fans. It did the same thing. (I never figured it out) but i ended up ordering a dual fan thermostat set up. Much easier and cleaner in my opinion. Wish i could help more. Im actually curious why it does it as well. I had tapped into the ac wire like it said. Everything else worked. But i turn on ac. They would shut off... good luck man. 14. So found out today the used listons i have fir my 6.0 build are 1.2mm top ring. 1.5mm 2nd and 2.5mm oil ring. Found this out because my rings i ordered for stock ls2 pistons. Are 1.5mm. 1.5mm and 3mm... figured out in 05/06 vhevy did the 1.2mm and 2.5mm rings. Does anyone know why they did it? And also know why they stopped doing it? Did they have oil issues with the 2.5mm oil ring? Did they have more failures because of the small ring size? Is one stronger than the other? Ordered new rings already just curious if i should find new pistons instead.... thanks. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  15. So got a new update. Beena little bit. But ordered a set of trick flow heads. Touched up by brian tooley. Bowls blended. Nitrous exhaust port. Etc. 245cc heads. 65cc chamber. Should put me at 11:1 compression. I may only be running 91 instead of E but we will see. Got the crank installed in the block. Got the pistons all cleaned up bearings installed. Arp rod bolts installed. Got my head studs installed. Went to install my piston rings. Found out i have the ls2 pistons with the 1.2mm top ring. And 2.5mm oil ring.... so my rings i got for my ls2 wont work... so ordered new rings today. And test fitted my old heads and edelbrock intake manifold..... Heres a few pics of my work so far. 16. Thanks for the help. Why do i need a fuel pressure regulator at the rails. Doesnt it stay at the 53psi. Or whatever our fuel is set at? Just curious fueling is new to me and im sure once i take the truck apart ill see what you mean and why i need it. But right now i can't picture why i need the regulator? 17. So I just picked up the pro flow intake manifold. And rails. My questions are this. (2001 Silverado) 1. The new rails have a hole for the fuel at the front and back of each rail. The stock rils. Have a hole in the middle top of the rail. My question is for the new rails. Do I have the main line enter the driver side rail then cross over from driver side topassanger at the front of rail. Then back side of passenger rail gets Teed into the main fuel line as well? And when running nitrous. Can have a T at the front driver side fuel rail. That has 1 aide going to the passenger rail. And 1 side going to the fuel solenoid? Just have it necked down from a -6 to a -3 or -4? 2. My truck has an evap solenoid on the intake manifold. The new one doesn't. Is this a return style system? Where I can plum it somewhere else on the new rails? Or is a evap different than a return style? Thanks I'm advance for all the help. If anyone has pictures. That would be awesome! I am a visual learner. But any help is appreciated. Its my first build. And I'm just trying to see what I have to do. Thanks again. Sent from my SM-G920T using Tapatalk
  18. Got my stall in today! And called the machine shop. They should have the motor done tomorrow. So I should be able to pick it up. Need to order the cam and springs. Then I'll be able to start putting the motor together. Sent from my SM-G920T using Tapatalk
  19. Just ordered an FTI 3200 stall. Decided I would regret going with such a small cam because of no stall. So now no worries on that. Haha Sent from my SM-G920T using Tapatalk
  20. Ordered a new set of electric fans. From a 98-02 ls1. The ones I had didn't fit right and never really ckept the truck as cool as they should have when the AC was on. Also ordered an adjustable thermostat controller for the new fans. To get rid of my homemade 3 relay system. Should take up less space and be a little cleaner with less wires. Also plans may change from a NA nitrous motor to a turbo set up. I'll probably start off with the 5.3l heads on the truck. Which should put Me close to 11:3-11:5:1 compression. On 10psi and e85 and see how it does. Or I may just puck up a set of 317 heads to lower compression and run 15psi. We will see I might start working on building a kit. 21. Just ordered ls7 lifters. And the comp reunion upgrade. Got the ARP 2000 rod bolts in and dropped off at the machine shop. Should be getting the block back from them in a few days. Still debating what cam to order. Gonna order .660 lift springs. Titatium retainers. Hardened pushrods. Thinking a small cam. I came up with a 223/227 .625/.625. 114. PCM of NC has a 223/227 610/614 114 but I think I want the extra few degrees of lift to suit my heads a little bit better. Got me e85 fuel pump. On another note. I got my cobalt ss. Head back from the machine shop. Got the new sleeve installed. And piston in it. Gonna start buttoning t back together to have my daily back so I can start to tear the Silverado down Sent from my SM-G920T using Tapatalk
  22. Thanks for the info. Sent from my SM-G920T using Tapatalk
  23. How many miles are on it? Sent from my SM-G920T using Tapatalk And would you be interested in trading for a edelbrock intake proflo manifold. 90mm throttle body. And the pro flow fuel rails. What else would I need to install this? Thanks for the info. Also a video of maybe a 0-80+ run would be awesome and is this the 2.3l? Or smaller? Sent from my SM-G920T using Tapatalk
  24. Thanks for the input guys. Anyone run the holley Nitro's system that cuts nitrous based on AFR? if so does it needs its own sensor or can I attach it to the one I use for HPT ma dmy gauge? Thanks again Sent from my SM-G920T using Tapatalk
