  1. I chased REP problems for over a year, I rewired the TB harness and switched TB's all of these didn't help, It would go back into limp mode every couple of weeks. After pulling the intake manifold and cleaning the electrical grounds by the valley cover and back of the block and adding dielectric grease the issue has not come back up in over 2 years.

  2. Ya you should of!! I had a good time out their. They have a way better set up! What did you think of my races?

They were similar to mine when stock. Let me know next time you're out there, I'd like to run mine with the new set up.

  3. I went out to the track last night to was some bracket racing. Wasn't going to race but was talked into it. These are in order and this is my second night ever racing. The last one felt really good but I messed it up. Probably would of gotten to a 15.8-.9 but oh well. I'm going to start doing stuff to this thing if I can.

I was there last night and saw you make your passes, I should have stopped by in the pits and said hello.

  4. I did this pull buy my track. That's how I knew the elevation. I work out buy it so I did it on my way home. SSSilverado33 do you live in utah?

Yes I do, I'm out in West Jordan

  5. So yesterday I wanted to see what my truck could do with a 0-60 time and the best out of three was a 8.3. That's a lot slower then I was expecting. The only thing done to my truck is a volant cold air(that's a million years old) what do you guys normally clock in on a 0-60 pull?

The best I could manage when stock was 7.9, but it was around 70 deg outside. Gotta love Utah

  6. I am more than sure the TBSS plenum along with the 243 heads maybe ported or not lol along with your cam will be sick!!!! Be sure to get a 3600 stall edge I love mine

Does the 3600 do ok on the street? I was leaning towards a 2500-3000 just because mine sees more daily driving duty and limited track time.

I'm running a LY6 top end. It's a L92 top end really. The LY6 gen lV intake is a TBSS intake that's rectangle port. And the 823 castings are badass. Get dual valve springs though, that intake valve is heavy!

I would like to run an entire setup similar to yours. How do you like the powerband? It is really streetable? I have been doing some reading and I think it was in Hot Rod magazine they ran dyno numbers with 243s vs 823s both stock and the 243s were better until about 3k and then the 823s really took off.

  7. The Fast will be a good mod, but I would try to stray from the 87mm TBSS throttle body. That throttle body has an issue that you will find showing up as you modify with sucking itself shut and going into reduced power. Make sure to get the evap solenoid and X-Link and you'll be fine.

Which throttle body would you suggest? I've read about some LS3 throttle bodies going into rep mode also but I'm not sure if it was for that exact same issue.

  8. I picked up a set of 243's during the week and this weekend I ended up getting an LY6 with 823's. I currently have a TBSS intake manifold that I was planning on using with the 243's but now I'm considering using the 823's with the intake off of the LY6. Which setup would be better to run, I've heard nothing but good things from both setups. My goals for the truck are to make good low end power because it's my DD, I plan on putting in a tsp 220r while I'm installing the heads and intake.

  9. Don't forget a complete retune. A corvette regulator does not have the vacuum reference port like our 03's would have, so it will maintain a constant fuel pressure and the PCM fuel tables will need to be adjusted appropriately.

Have you done the swap? I read mixed results from people that say the Vette FPR works and others that say you need an adjustable FPR.

  10. Did you have to remove the power steering pump ?

I did, it wasn't difficult. there's three bolts in the font behind the power steering pulley and one bracket on the back that's bolted to the cylinder head I believe, and one line from the steering box and that's it. I've heard you can just remove the line that goes to the pump to the gear box from underneath but I swapped out my pump for a HD pump so I didn't even try.

  11. Yea for PCV. That is the part I am hung up on. I have almost everything else to get this done

If you swap to the hydroboost it will give you an open port on the back of the manifold. I bought a complete TBSS intake off of pt.net a little while back and will be doing the swap sometime in the near future and that's what I was thinking about doing.
