  1. Always need a stall with a cam in this case 3600
  2. 3-4gs should be a nice heads and cam man a cam kit only costs 600-1000 then the heads 1000-1500 so far you would be looking at 2500 or so and pay to get it installed heads cam can add a good 100hp as well as sound great and if you still have a 1000 left over than buy a stall!
  3. What do you mean what will you need as in what heads intake or cam kit? If you are talking about installing the cam you will need 650 lift springs either beehive singles or dual springs and some hardened push rods 7.4 length I believe.
  4. That seems like a good NA cam. My cam is a 235 243 621 624 113 but believe me in these trucks you are gonna need some mods to make em really move I have heads cam intake stall and still got beat by my friends 2012 5.0 boss intake headers exhaust tune gears I haven't had a chance to race a bone stock 5.0 idk if I can take a newer one but I'm sure I can.
  5. I believe they were done by some shop in San Antonio Texas I got them used for a 1000 they were on a built camaro or trans am but they are in good shape for sure. felt a good difference with the heads loss some torque but gained the compression and mid range I used to get pulled easy by my friends truck now we are even.
  6. He told me he was looking for a light weight bed for a while its fiber glass or something
  7. That's PJ Procharger he made the extended cab a clone ss has a light weight bed it use to be procharged running 11s but he went with a completely different setup turbo obviously and has ran like a 10.5 or so he has a Victor Jr but that's really all I can say I didn't really bother asking about his set up from what he told me it was a single 76mm I think its a pt88. He's tuned by spike and has a race coming up for him real soon there is a guy with a 2012 or 2011 extended GMC sierra with a 427 crate motor on low compression with a single 106mm precision its awd or 4x4 but not sure if he's going to convert it to 2wd soon. That's gonna be badass to see on the street. I think I mentioned him on here somewhere a long time ago. If you think he has a fast extended cab have you seen the guy running 9.4!?
  8. So the ss has gotten a couple of mods since the last time I was on here. I think the last mods listed were tbss intake cam stall and headers now I got 243 ported heads and lsxrt. I will tell you right now the lsxrt lost me some torque compared to the tbss off the line even with my 3600 stall. I use to leave my friends modded twin turbo BMW from a dig now it stays even until 2rd then I get pulled lol so next mods will probably be spray! Or 4:56 gears man I want to take it to the track already! Also I can feel a big difference on mid range to top end with lsxrt it just needs to get there quicker so the gears should prove worthy.
  9. If you want to keep with me search on youtube SS Silverado vs LS3 Vette you should find something similar to that by Johnny. I will be uploading more videos as I go along I just finished a 243 ported head swap now the tranny needs work so once I am done I will be uploading some nice videos hopefully.
  10. You should be fine to drive here and there with it. But don't go WOT because the injectors need to be calibrated. It's a nice swap if done right (90mm ls3 throttle body, 40lb+ injectors). Once you get the retune it will feel a lot better when you nail it at any speed.
  11. Not a bad idea at all keeping the tranny clean and cool will make it last a while. Even longer if you add a shift kit like superior or transgo hd2
  12. $600 for a used 3600? The brand new 3600s go for 600!
  13. Dude that's definitely going to have to be a 6.0. Your single cab would fly with just a 6.0 and headers. Plus you do have a single cab so gas won't be as bad as the ss silverado's awd extended cab mileage (assuming your rwd).
  14. Should be an 11 second truck add heads and it should be low 11s
  15. Nowhere near cali, i'm in south Texas. Don't be afraid of a 3600 I daily drive with heads cam intake 3600 stall drives great!
  16. Oh yes with the right heads LSXRT can get you 50hp dynos shows 30hp gain on stock 6.0
  17. Did I ever say 50hp from milling the heads? No didn't lol let's assume 15hp from milling the heads that puts you at 465hp plus lighter rims frees up a bit of hp and some efans rwd makes it easier to hit 500hp as well.
  18. Okay let's start there 325hp plus cam let's say it adds 25hp now we got 350hp now let's add some ported heads 50hp and a better plenum with all the supporting mods 25hp we are looking at 425hp now if you add the LSXRT intake make that a 50hp now you are looking at 450hp NA mill the heads to raise compression your pretty close to 500hp NA oh I forgot retune efans lighter rims so on. Possible
  19. So with heads cam LSXRT you don't make 480hp or more? To the wheels.
  20. with the fast intake and cam he should be in the 400-450 area then with some nice heads he should be in the 500hp area
  21. Idk I'm assuming with cam maybe 400rwhp. I mean gm does advertise 345hp and 375-385tq so you should be in the 400ish area
  22. Or if you are looking for a leak just get a hose put your ear too it thats how I find my header leaks
