Yeah my bad I was just trying to get it fixed fast but I'll do the oil pressure check then rockers and lifters
-
Well the day after I sent you the video I startedit then after pulled the covers off and the was some smoke coming from there
-
Well the screeching from the bottom end?
-
Well the lifters were used I got them from a friend that had taken them out when he did a cam swap but they worked fine is his truck when he took them out
-
Ok well my truck didn't get picked up today so my question is how hard would it be for me to rebuild this engine on my own or would I be better off just buying a new one?
-
The old rockers and my tuner has a performance shop in Edinburg tx and he has a few mechanics so gunna see what they find
-
Well I tried to drive it hoping maybe get some oil through it see if maybe the noise stops but didn't sound good so having my tuner pick up the truck and check everything see what's going on
-
-
If the pedestal has a little bump on it where they sit on the heads could that be my problem?
-
Blown 346 I started the truck this morning and held it at 2000 rpms for a minute and the didn't hear the screeching noise I left the truck on for a couple minutes longer and still didn't hear it but the check engine light was on this morning after I sent you the video last night code p0101 and p0106 came up

No milling, 650 beehive springs and stock felpro gaskets
-
I know that's the first time it did since I started it
-
Sent the video
-
Rockers and lifters are stock cam is a 230/236 612 615 on a 112 lsa
-
Well it's not letting upload the video so kinda stuck there and I guess checking the pedestal is next I haven't checked that
-
A video of how the tapping sounds? And the push rods are 7.4s and how would I know about the needle bearing and would that happen on all of them?
-
Would I be able to oil the lifters by pouring oil from where the push rods are at and push on the lifters with the push rods to get oil in them?
-
Ok well I torqued the rockers again and some of them still move side to side are the rockers supposed to be able to slide side to side on the pivot when there off the truck?
-
Ok well if there is oil on the top where the rockers are wouldn't that mean oil is running through it?
-
I covered them with oil before putting them in I torqued the rockers to 24ftlbs it's not knocking I just over guessed it with the tapping noise but I pulled the covers off and the push rods seem to be fine along with the spirngs but the rockers slide side to side a little so I'm stuck on what to check next. And I didn't take off the oil pump and I don't know about the oil pressure because my gauge is burned out
-
It's not coming up it just shows my last post

Ok new cam, lifters and springs are in but I'm still hearing a tapping noise. I pulled the valve covers off and the rockers slide side to side a little even thought their torqued. I didn't soak the lifters in oil could that be my problem? If not does any body have any ideas of what it could be?
-
Well I covered them in oil before I put them in I didn't soak them and so what would I do about that?
-
I didn't know what section to post it to. Well I put the new cam springs pushrods and lifters in started the truck and still kind of hear a knocking now I have to drop the pan and see what's going on in the bottom end

No did not replace the oil pump I pulled the engine and everything was pretty much gone. Rods were about to fall apart and the block is no good and some metal shavings ruined the cam also bent valves so now looks like a 408 or 402 will be getting dropped in
