Ok well that answers the question. Thanks for the info guys.

I tried searching but am clearly dumb.
Is there a quick visual way to tell the difference between a Lq4 and the Lq9?
Truck is an SS but just curious.
Thanks

Good enough for me.
Thanks.

I was gonna say I gree you are simple based on that response. But then I realized I simple is the part I need.
And now I feel simple.
Lol. Thanks I'll look into those now

Gonna bump an old thread here as I foud it searching before creating my own.
I have the Bose 6 cd Xm radio. Currently using it for xm.
Want to add aux input without losing my xm.
Just looked up gm12-auxv2 base on an above post but it looks like it's discontinued.
What can I do to make this happen? I don't want to lose any functions currently, I just want to add in an aux port.
Really want to make this work so I won't be forced to build a system for this truck.

Nope. More like cruising at 2k and then giving it some throttle to accelerate. Maybe 50% throttle.
-
Well 5200 would be fine. But it seems like mine is cutting off around 2500. Which is too low to be practical. If it only happened around 5k I'd have no issues
-
Aha! I knew it.Yeah, it is throttle related. There is a table in the PCM at that controls when the AC is turned off. For example my AC is commanded off at over 5200rpm. I believe there is also a table commanding the AC off at certain percentages of throttle. Example %90 open = commanded shut off.
Thanks!
Do you know if that setting can be removed or adjusted at all?
-
That would be perfect. I'd be cool and get everywhere ahead of schedule.Check your coolant level. I had a similar problem, except opposite (cold @ aggressive, hot @ leisurely) and found I had a leak

I'm wondering if maybe the charge isn't where it should be?
-
Does the ac compressor recieve any input from the throttle?
It seems like when ever I drive semi aggressively or more, my ac blows just hot air. But if I'm just puttin along cruising under 2k rpm than it's icy cold like it should be.
Is that something that can be tuned out or is there a bigger issue afoot?
Thanks!

Same question. Is there a difference in the rears at all between the 07 Tahoe an stock SS discs?
Is there any benefit to going with full Tahoe won't and rear package?
Or any reason why not to?
It'd be simpler if I can get the front and rear setups for the same vehicle and not do Tahoe fronts SS rear.

Better.

Thanks. I'm gonna get tint next week. I think once the front windows are darker it'll help tie the look together

Well crap. I was hoping to do something easy to get to instead of pulling the dash apart.
-
well flipping A!That might be my old truck , Send me the vin , and if it is I can send you the window sticker and build sheet
I'll get it pm'd here shortly.
If you have any history on it id be very appreciative.
-
Sure did. It had a dealer service sticker from Kansas so I figured it was a semi local truck

Been trying to find this info.
WHere is the sender for the trans temp located?
Anyone have a picture or a diagram showing where it's located on the truck?
My gauge didn't work the first few months I owned my truck and recently it's started working more and more intermittently.
Now it's pretty much every other time I start my truck it either works or doesn't.
I'm leaning heavily towards the temp sender being bad but I need to find it to test/replace it.
Thanks guys!

Fair enough.
Thanks for all the help guys

Good call guys thanks for the answer. They aren't particularly rare or anything are they?
Thinking heavily on painting them black but didn't want to if they're rare or something.

I'm trying to id this wheel.
Was on a 04 SS when I bought the truck. It doesn't look like the standard SS wheel to me but maybe I'm crazy.
Thanks for looking.

i quoted your post about the 1.7 vs 1.8 ratio saying that a cam spec'd for 1.7a would be better than just slapping on 1.8s for fun. But it was to say thanks for the info.Did you edit your post? My response was the one quoted. If not, my mistake, I swear I saw my post quoted.
-
You are correct. 1.8s is an expensive way of adding a few horsepower on a stock cam, no point in running 1.8s with a custom cam on an application like this, the cam grind will net all gains need for the goal while retaining stock rocker ratio.
Perfect. Than that just makes me more interested in these. I'll just need to plan on getting a cam setup for 1.7s.
Not even. The dog food is $60!I could understand not buying anything or buying his buddies roller rockers for 180.00 but at this point doing a trunion upgrade makes zero sense to me. What's he going to do with the $40.00 he saves by doing trunions at this point. If he has a dog he could buy his dog a nice big bag of dog food with that $40.00 you guys saved him. lol
Besides if I order the comps I still have to pay shipping. Which narrows the gap even more.
That was my point from the get go. With the difference in cost so negligible how does it not make sense. Anyone that says the comp upgrade is worth for damn near the same money should think this is worth it?
Also I wouldn't flip them. I don't believe it taking a "hook up" deal from a friend to try to make money.
Anyone successfully converted to a part time t case?

Just curious if anyone had pulle the 149 and went to a more common part time case? I don't always need the AWD. Plus it does make it harder to find a dyno or do burnouts.
I would prefer to go manual shifting and not electronic but if I was forced is go electronic also.
Just seeing if anyone has done it or has any info on it.
Thanks!
