"Master Lock" sells a tail gate lock I have one on my truck.. works good and I found it at Home Depot

I thought the same thing....Post up some pictures. Ive never put my eyes on a Vortech mount but when I had my Procharger on my old truck the alternator stayed in the factory location and the SC mount bolted to the front of the factory alternator mount so it was never an issue. Not sure why Vortech would design their mount to move the alternator out of its factory position, that just seems silly.
It also could be the wrong SC mount for these truck...

Okay I got you now. So your not using the original alternator bracket from what your saying... then you might have to go with the dirty dingo bracket...
-
So the problem is that your manifold is coming too close to the alternator
-
Straight pipe it... lol

With a true dual setup would it be better to go with 2.5" or 3"?
I would go 3"
It's will flow A little better.

I'm looking into getting a new exhaust setup aswell, and Carven only seems to sell mufflers that would fit our trucks, not kits.
I found these two:

http://www.carvenexhaust.com/products/performance-mufflers/r-series-muffler-2-942.html
You would want to go with the 3"

Yes I did actually! I'm really excited about it and finally feel like an authentic member on this site now haha.
Congrats on finding her.
Make sure to get a really alarm and maybe even a kill switch. Because these truck are Hot items here inn Cali

You're correct about the size on both front and back speakers
6 1/2 front with tweeters on the pillar
4 x 6 rear
And I think a (6" or 8") sub in the center console. But I could be wrong on the sub size.

Just looking for something a little bit louder than what I have on, I've only dealt with Magnaflow and Flowmaster mufflers, as far as all these "x-pipes" and "y", I don't know much about exhaust systems in that sense,
Check out "Carven Exhaust"
I know some guys around here that are running them and they sound really good and mean.

Sounds BaD A$$
kind of the same setup I have.

Aftermarket headlights and park lights went to shit in about a year, so I installed new GM pieces instead. In this pic hood is off and I'm getting ready to make the trip to the body shop to pick it up; painter doing a fix-up on it. Also had a new windshield installed while the hood was off.
Hood back on, stopping at Louie Mueller BBQ in Taylor TX for a killer lunch before heading home!

I have seen those on a few truck around me they look good I think...

Damn sorry for your loss bro... sucks to hear..
When I had my first SS stolen it took Allstate A month just to declare the truck really stolen lol.. and it took them A week and a half to get three appraisals from different Chevy dealerships around my local area to find out the estimate value of the truck and another week to pay me out...

Looks good bro.

I would say start with the simple things like:
spark plugs and wires check those first and if you have cat make sure they are not clogged..
Has it stall out before this?
