  1. Hey guys love the site. Billy from Alaska. Got my ss a year ago and have always wanted one. Had to wait until I hit 30 to get one but im still excited about owning one. I would rather have the ss then a new truck it just looks so good. I have had to change some parts out since I do have 113k on it. Nothing serious but I do have a couple issues that I have been getting help on from everyone. So thanks for all the help.

  2. I had this problem this winter. Everything went out except the fan blew on high or off. It's easy fix under passenger floor. Take off shroud by feet look up under there they make a part . It's a updated one because these go out a lot..it's like a 50$ part plugs right in lemme Google it again and I'll tell you what it's called.

  3. Yeah thanks. I think im going to do it tomorrow. Ive only had my SS for a year now. I bought it lowered and my shocks are leaking and its hitting the rubber stops making for a rough ride. I figure I can deal with that for the time being but when I accelerate about 5 - 10 miles an hour I hear a growl and I know there is a little play in the cv axle I was told its the bearing in the hub assembley. I love the truck but now im having a few problems. its got 113,000 on it and I know things need replaced. I had my water pump replaced and they said I needed a new clutch fan as well. So now when I start my truck the fan seems really loud and when I accelerate it gets really loud like its blowing a lot of air. idk if this is normal or not but super annoying. frusterating

  4. do yourself a favor

i have the 2-3 front and 3-4 rear kit

    Djm parts with belltech shocks

trust me ive been lowering these trucks since late 02 when the 03s came and the combo i have has by far best ride and feel.

Quick question. I bought my ss and it already had a dop on it im not sure how much but what I do know is there are different shocks on it but a couple of them I see are covered in oil. so there leaking and its a extremely rough ride. looks like the truck is hitting the rubber stops and the shocks pretty much are not doing anything, the frame is maybe 6 inches or so away from the rubber stops I feel like if I put shocks on that are for lowered trucks its still going to hit rubber stops? Im not real familiar with dropped trucks. I just want a smoother ride rather then people in back seats constantly complaing about it being such a rough ride. would kyb dynomax shocks work? are gas shocks my solution? Thanks

  5. I just had to change my hub, drivers side front, they tend to go

I need to change my hub on drivers side as well. the mechanic wants 1,049$ to change out the hub that costs around 150. My question is when I rip it apart is it tough being that it is awd? im going to tackle it but im worried I get it all torn apart and I need some special tool.
