Thought this was interesting on the chevy SS car getting the axe from low sales http://m.insidercarnews.com/10-cars-that-are-being-discontinued-after-2015/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=M-18-50-MobileNews

Seen some silly looking trucks and posers around town and thought I'd share
-
Lastnight which was a Friday night I was strolling around town lookin for trucks to race then all of a sudden this Toyota tundra v8 which looked kinda new pulls up to me on a roll then he floors it and I meet up with him at a stop light and he's looking at my truck then the lights turn green and I had him from the beginning. I probably pulled 3 truck lengths before he pulled onto a random street in shame. The next one I was just about going home then this gmc 2500hd comes to an even 60 with me then he guns it so I say what the heck and I floor the gas and he had me for a while but after 100mph I was gone. Those are the kills for the night and I was also called out by a kid with chevy 440 big block or something but he was a chicken

Hood
in General SS

I cut my cats out and the o2 sensor wasn't on the cat it was behind it and it's not throwing me any codes at all. Note: if you have a stock truck I noticed a drop in low end torque but an improvement in the mid and high end
-
Just cut out my cats and one side was clogged and I welded straight pipes in and what a difference! My truck runs and sounds like a bat straight outta hell! No more engine code either and I shoulda done this when I first bought it! Thanks a lot guys this site saved me so much from looking around online.

I'll check it tomorrow at oreillys right down the road. I got a welder and saw zaw ready to use then I'll double check the whole exhaust for leaks and weld them if there is any
-
I'll probably cut the cats off and gut them and change the plugs and wires because the previous owner did a piss poor job of taking care of the truck they probably weren't changed in a long time then see if that does the trick
-
Is there a way to take out the cats and just weld a straight pipe onto it? Would there be sensors that I have to take out? And will the engine light still flash if the cats are removed?
-
Thanks for your input. Thank god I have a warranty if anything bad did happen to the engine
-
My check engine light comes on flashing whenever I accelerate over 50mph and the light doesn't stay on only when I accelerate it starts flashing. I can go 65mph and cruise at that speed then it shuts off after a while and after 65mph it bogs really bad and doesn't have much power or response. Anyone have any input on my situation before I start taking out the plugs or rip out the cats? I would go check it on a computer but the light doesn't stay on

Thanks guys. It has some flaws but I got my priority list set up once I get some extra cash. I'm 18 years old and paying for college at the moment

Shifting miss
in AWD, Differential, & Transmission Tech
Posted
When I bought my truck the transmission shifted just fine with no miss then it blew and I had it under warranty so a $500 deductible wasn't bad at all so about a week later I got my truck back and it's been missing 2-3 and 3-4 for a few seconds before it catches on. So far I have k&n cold air intake, no cats or muffler ( I like it loud) and that's it. It's been like that a few months I was wondering if it could be a tune problem or not but I don't want to buy a shift kit or anything now becuase once this one goes I'll either do a 80e swap or if the warranty is still good I'll get another new tranny. Just want to solve the problem now. And the new transmission wasn't rebuilt it was ordered from chevy OEM.
