  1. Yeah I saw all that too. It is definitely a 06 cause it has drum brakes. The one script looks like it's sun faded or been through one too many car washes. Bumper is munched up and I swear the tail lights look like off an 03 because they don't have the dark outline on the lense. Could be the picture though...
  2. Not sure if your still looking but this popped up in Cali. It does look a little rough around the edges for the miles but it is lower miles as a positive..... http://www.cargurus.com/Cars/inventorylisting/viewDetailsFilterViewInventoryListing.action?sourceContext=RecentSearches_false_0&newSearchFromOverviewPage=true&entitySelectingHelper.selectedEntity=d631&entitySelectingHelper.selectedEntity2=&zip=28214&distance=50000&searchChanged=true&showNegotiable=true&modelChanged=false&filtersModified=true#listing=138475962
  3. I agree plus the ad said had an airbag light on so it most likely needed some TLC. That's where some cash a little elbow grease can turn into a nice little flip..... Speaking from experience.
  4. I see them all the time in eBay. May try the dealer they are still available or places like gmparts.com etc.
  5. Thanks, I already made my mind up when I squirt my bumper here in the next month I plan to do the Antenna. I will post some pics once I get it done!
  6. Ground typically big strap type wires. I know there is one from engine rear head to frame. There are others but we would need to see pic. Like I said I can't do from a phone the Mobil version doesn't have the capability the full site version has ability to upload a pic.
  7. I take it you found the problem? I can't do from my phone. I usually do from a computer. The file size is limited on the site. When I upload I send from my iPhone and send at a reduced file size.
  8. He said the front not the rear. You just have to pull the half shaft and pop seal out if I recall. I would recommend a seal installer but a large socket may work.
  9. Oh I missed that....My bet is on it's going bad. Gentex is a HUGE OEM supplier of the auto dimming mirrors so chances are they were the OE supplier.
  10. Mine sort of does that.... it doesn't heat as fast as the passenger side. Not sure the reason but I wonder if the heating grid inside wears out over time... remember its 10 years old! Mine isn't to the point that I need to replace yet....
  11. The Repo ones never fit right. I have bought from custom auto carpet for a few restorations. It depends what your doing, if money is no object and you want it to look nice always go with OEM (GM) it will fit and look best. Aftermarket is just that it will sort of fit, they just are not molded as nice. In my opinion it just depends on what you want to do. I would also buy a set of floor mats so you don't destroy whatever you replace with. Heck a good option might be find a low mile wreck and just steam clean the carpet if you can find a nice OE rug....
  12. To activate the power folding you put the side select to the middle the "remote" should turn orange in the middle. Then hold the selector part to the right and they will fold in. If the are out of sinc meaning manually folded you may need to cycle in and out a few times to sync back up. To fold out press switch to left. They usually get out of sync running through car washes when a person manually folds back to position rather then use switch. Super common problem people never knew how to use when these trucks were new. GM redesign the switch and operation on the NBS style trucks.
  13. Ask and ye shall receive.... These dealers "show" they have. I always call make them PUT their hands on and inspect before you buy. a few years ago I bought a GM bed rug for the SS from a dealer two hours away (it was discounted). I called made sure they had. I drove up and the box was empty... man was I HOT. Moral of the story, on old pats make sure box is unopened or at least if opened all parts are there. It also doesn't hurt to ask for a discount... chances are it's an old obsolete part for them anyways and they will love to get it out of their inventory....
  14. I still have access to the GM locator I haven't been at a computer all weekend but can look tomorrow if a dealer still has the kit out there.
  15. An NRA sticker..... Seriously if someone wants bad enough they are gonna take it all your going to do is slow them down. If your that concerned a high quality alarm might be in order. A few weeks back at work I was staring out the window at the office. Someone got their car repo'd. Seriously the tow guy had that car outta there in like under a minute and a half.... It was interesting to see how they did it. It was just like you see on those repo shows on TV. My boss and I watched it all from the second floor of our office.
  16. Wow.... The more I see if it the more I like it. Whoever built that did a very nice job. That is what I like factory looking! Too bad GM never built one that is a neat truck!
  17. Welcome..... FYI the SS didn't have a special interior it was the dark gray leather with "ss" headrests. So really all you need to find is the head rests the leather seats out of any Silvy or Sierra or the same vintage will work.
  18. That's cool. Too bad there aren't more pictures in the CL ad. They don't seem very serious about selling with the little info in the ad.
  19. That's a neat looking truck!
  20. Glad you figured out. You probably can replace the seat belt for 60 bucks. GM seat belts are pretty reasonable. I may replace mine it doesn't return that well and it bugs me. I gotta figure out how to take seat apart. It's been a while since I seen one apart and that part of memory bank is fuzzy.
  21. Only place I know that has a wiring diagram is the factory service manual. The are super expensive but you can buy new from helm inc. or sometimes find used on eBay. I would help you out but I don't have one myself. It's on my list of things I want to get but I'm trying to find a reasonable price used set....
