^^^ Yeah the six speed is a blast! I had a 98 with upgrades and loved it. My Man I miss that 6 speed

I have this customer at the south east bottom of Mich. that's his specialty. I was at his place in the fall, he had 2 of them. One was lifted, he was removing the lift kit and putting it back to stock ride height. 258 6's, manual, and both were from out west so super clean. I believe he said he sells them around 6K, I could be mistaken. I am gonna swing by in the next few days and see if I can catch him and see if he has one still available. I will keep you posted

It's to bad your picky!!! LOL, my blue beauty is a little beat down...... I do drive my truck as much as possible, and my camaro hasn't left the garage yet this summer. That's due to higher mileage maintenance/ repairs being performed. Hope you find the rite deal

Nice rides!

Thanks, glad I stumbled upon this topic. Easy fix for my issue

Well I stand corrected, I will hit a salvage yard ( good buddy owns a large one buy my house) and split a hydro booster from the m.c. that could explain why my brakes would engage and not release. I replaced the hard lines, rubber hoses, front calipers and rotors (07' upgrade) and it is fine again. It worked fine for a thousand miles or so, then would randomly not release the brakes. The push rod seemed to be the correct length, but I was not aware of a return spring. Glad you mentioned it, I will let ya know what I find.

Nice!!! I love your truck that baby is BAD A$$

Remove that piece from your vacuum booster. It pulls right out and goes in the hydro booster. I had that same problem, luckily i caught it quickly lol

Transmission issues
BC DOORMAN replied to Blazerdave2000's topic in AWD, Differential, & Transmission Tech
4L80 swap. But I agree time for a new trans shop. If your not beating on your truck then you shouldn't be having these issues. -
Dang Ramon your doing a flip kit on the rear! How much will that drop your truck?

Some pointers on replacing brake lines
BC DOORMAN replied to evildcustoms's topic in Suspension & Brakes
^^^ Agree'd 100 percent. I changed my lines to s.s. and didn't swap the rubber lines at that time. My brakes started hanging up so I took the advice given here and swapped the hoses and all is well. I got mine off amazon, used all AC Delco and they fit perfectly and was around 100-120$ for all 5. I did some frame painting while I had my bed off also. Was worth the effort. I did the power stop 07 Tahoe swap too, my hydro boost came off an 05' 2500 pick up. I bought a AC Delco 2500 6.0 power steering pump, Amazon also I believe it was under 100$. The hydro boost makes a huge difference and is the best brake upgrade for these trucks short of that huge front/ rear kit that nip ring was selling here -
Very nice build!!! Glad to see you enjoying that beast

Nice truck and tasteful upgrades planned! Those wheels do look killer

I don't know why I looked at this thread..... Now I can't wait to fire up the grill. Y'all cook up some good looking food!!!

Sweet ride

Yeah my hydro boost bought used came with a master cylinder. It appears to be the same exact shape as the SS m/c. In fact, I ran mine with the stock m/c but recently swapped to the m/c from a 2500 that came with my set up. Do you love the difference in braking ?!?!

Yeah man I paid like $250- $300 off Amazon. Easy and good quality

I am interested as well. I have been saving my penny's for a while now and have been considering this as an option.
