  1. I have been searching for over 2 weeks but have yet to find an answer. I am working on the 4l80 swap on my 03 SS. I have the transmission, donor drive shafts. I need to know what adapter I should buy to get my 4l80 to work with the stock transfer case. I know it is a 32 spline but that is all I know. I have sent a message to Time2Kill about his adapter as I have seen his name come up several times but haven't heard from him.

Can someone point me in the right direction please? I want to know what I need to buy (specifically) to make this work. I'm on a bit of a time crunch to get this all pulled and put back together.

  2. Ironically since you say that, when I ground my test light and touch those wires the fans would kick on. One wire would run on low and then high on the other side. So when I get this tune, that will tell the pcm to ground those pin slots for 33 and 42 so the fans will kick on when the parameters are met for each of those pins?

  3. Ok see I don't know. I had to splice my wires because I couldn't find the OEM plug in with the pins. So I got the correct connector but had to splice the wires and add pins to it. So I had to look at the two connectors while they were connected to trace which wire would be green and blue. From there I put the green wire into the 42 empty spot and the blue wire into the 33 empty spot.

Now I got truck to stop the crazy starting thing. Just pressed the gray clip on the pcm down more firmly. Bolts were tight already.

Now, I got my tester light out and when I touch the tester to the spliced wire past the connector where I spliced the fans will come on with the key off. WTF

No I haven't got the pcm programmed but shouldn't the fans just run on low until I get it programmed?

  4. Ok so I got the fans installed. Wired it up. I plugged the green wire in 42 and the blue wire in 33 on the pcm spots. Grounded the harness on the horn mounting bracket. Plugged into the main fuse panel power wire spot for the harness power wire.

Tried to check the fans and now the truck will start and shut off when I turn the key to AC. It will start normally if I turn it completely on. However the truck will just cycle on and off when I put the key in the ignition and turn it to AC?

What the hell did I do wrong? Oh and the fans don't even come on?

  5. Ok so the rest of the stuff is gone off that donor truck. I have the complete wire harness for the head lights and all that but there isnt anything else left. My next question is if would any of those 2 wire connectors from the light part of the harness work with the fan harness connector? Or would I just be better off rigging something else up. I seen some hid 2 wire connectors that come with a male and female connector that I can prob sub in there

  6. I have searched all over and I want find any info on what I need. The topic has been covered a bunch but the details are vague or I'm simple.

I'm swapping my 03 SS to efans. I got a set off an 06 tahoe and got the factory harness too.

Now my question is about the hookup of the blue and green wires. Do I cut off this connector and use these wires to plug into the pcm? Green 42 and blue 33? I took a pic of what I'm talking about. This is from the factory harness.

  8. Thx, I have seen that video but that's not the part that I have so it's a little confusing.

I have the second one on this page. With the small wire clip.

So does anyone know where it is?

  9. I'm needing help. I have searched this site for threads on this but no luck. I got a p0455 code. I took the truck for a smoke test as this is what I read needs to be done to find said leak. So the test came back vent valve selnoid and purge valve selnoid. I went to the part store and got the vent valve selnoid because it was in stock and they told me those usually cause the other to show bad too. Now my question is where is this on the truck and does anyone have a write up on replacing them. I have been looking all over the internet for any info on this but have come up short. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a 2003 Sivlerado SS.

  10. I went to one a few years back in Atlanta. They changed the location and it was decent but not like they used to be. the venue was much smaller and the scale was smaller so it wasnt as fun. Long ago when it was at Atlanta Motor Speed Way it was awesome. We couldn't see all the cars over the weekend cause it was just that packed. But the new one was small so we was able to see everything in a few hours

  11. I've been looking EVERYWHERE for someone that sells a stock height suspension kit. I have found no help. I found kits out there but they are for Silverado that are 4WD. I emailed/chatted the site (1AAuto) and they said it wouldn't fit. So can someone please help me. I got an 03 Silverado SS, I want to replace all my suspension because it spent a little time up north and it got some rust underneath. So what better excuse for spending the money on an all new suspension. Here is a link to the kit i was looking at

  12. So, I'm looking to redo ALL of my suspension. i ran across this thread and found the ebay kit. Can anyone tell me if this kit is legit? The part numbers match up with MOOG parts from Advance Auto Parts but $82 total seems a little too good to be true. One tie rod end from Advance is $55 dollars,...

Sorry for the old thread revival.
